I was very impressed with my initial consultation. Not only are Dr. DeBarros & Dr. Orris' credentials are outstanding but their staff is as well. They were very organized and thorough as to what would be involved for the procedure and what the exact fees would be. They didn't hestitate to answer any questions or concerns I had at any time. I feel confident I made the right choice with moving forward with them.

Dr. DeBarros and his staff have been more than helpful and accommodating to me. They treat you like a friend not just a patient. WLIA also provide a wonderful facebook community to give peer help from other patients and they have monthly group meetings as well as activities to make the whole process go much smoother.

Dr. Debarros is still my lapband Dr. I just had another followup and slight unfill appt. He always remembers me and is wonderful to talk to, he really understands the lapband.

I have been a patient at the WLIA for 11 months now, I have enjoyed everyone of the staff members that I have worked with in my weight loss journey. Without the pre-surgery appts and educations and knowledge that each staff member gave to me, I dont feel that my success would have been possible. I had LapBand surgery the end of August 2014 and have had amazing results, I feel amazing. My health has improved, my outlook on life is amazing, I love the new me !! Thank you to all the staff and the Wonderful Dr. John DeBarros :)

I have been a going to WLIA since Nov. 2014 and had lap-band surgery in late Jan. 2015. They have several offices around the valley which makes it really convenient. I have visited a few of the locations and have felt extremely comfortable in each. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr DeBarros is a wonderful doctor. Very informative, straight forward and to the point. He also treats and talks to his patients on a more personal level making you really feel like our fully aware and informed and that all your questions have been answered. I highly recommend WLIA to anyone reaching out for help with their weight loss.

The weight loss institute is the best. The Doctors are very experienced and kind. All the staff is great and the support groups and dietitians are awesome. I would recommend WLIA to anyone with a weight problem.

There are no other word to describe Dr. DeBarros other than amazing. He knows what he is talking about - He is not just a weigh loss doctor he is a patient too! His personality is one in a million and made me laugh every time I would get nervous. Him and his staff always know what to say.

Just had my pre-op appt and got my surgery date. My appt went smooth, I felt very well informed from the staff at the offices of Dr. DeBarros & Dr. Orris. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time, my nervous do settle when I think about whom I choose to do my lapband, WLIA. I'm confidant in Dr. Orris and the staff at WLIA. I am so ready to continue my journey to a healthier me.

I have been seeing Dr.Debarros since June 2014 and each visit is such a joy, I learn new things and he helps me find solutions towards reaching my goals. He is always helpful and reassures me if I ever have a concern about my diet or surgery. His staff is always helpful and I have never had to wait more than a day to get a call back from someone. I feel at peace knowing Dr. DeBarros will be taking care of my surgery and can't wait to work together with him to see great results, I would reccomend him to anyone who was seeking WLS!

I had a great experience getting my weight loss surgery with WLIA. The staff is awesome! All so supportive and kind. They really care and get involved with your weight loss. John DeBarros did an excellent job on my surgery and I’m on the fast track to recovery!
