Oklahoma Surgery Bariatric Center

I met Dr. Johnson and was very impressed with his air of confidence. He was able to put me at ease with him very quickly. I am one who needs reassurance and he was able to give that to me. He made me feel that he really cares about me as a person. I won't hesitate to let him do my wls. Now if only I can get the insurance approval.
I have gotten to know several people in his office over the past few months. I just love them all. No matter how much of a pest I am, they still take the time to listen to me and to give me their support.

I met Dr. Giddens at one of the support meetings and found him to be very thorough and efficient in answering my questions. I met him again at a consult and he was AWESOME. He does not just approve anyone. If he does not feel you will make it then he will not put you through the surgery. He cares about me and is excited for me and I just felt so at ease with him.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Karen is nice and she has went through the surgery and she looks great.
I think future patients will feel secure with him. He is very soft spoken but he knows his stuff and when he tells you that he thinks your a good canidate you can tell you is excited for you and your health.
His after care program seems to be very monitored. He made it clear that he wanted to continue to follow me for a good amount of time after the surgery. I will need to meet with a nutritionist before the surgery to discuss after care diet.
He was very clear over the risk of the surgery but he also lets you know if your health is too at risk to even try. He felt that I am in good health and he feels that I will do fine and if he feels good about it then I feel extra good about it.
I would rate him as an excellent doctor and I like the fact that he took the time to do an exam and he took the time to know me.
I feel that Dr. Giddens is both surgical competence and the extra benifet of excellent bedside manner.

I had met DR Pittman just about 2 years ago when he removed my gallbladder. When I decide to have the WLS, I called my insurance company for names of surgeons in my area who preform WLS, and was very very happy that DR Pittman was doing these now!
My impression was the same as the 1st time I had met him, he is great. Easy to talk to, I didn't feel "stupid" for asking any question that I had on my mind. He sat right down and I think he would have stayed there as long as I needed him to.
His office folks are great, I knew that from before, and the new ones are just as nice. Karen was right there on that 1st WLS visit making sure I knew she would be there for me, all I had to do was let her know I needed her. And now they have Darrel who I haven't met, but I have spoke to, and he seems just as caring and supportive.

Future patients should be ready to be treated with respect and understanding!

Karen and Darrel have answered any questions I've had about aftercare, and have give sugestion about after care. They also know that everyone is different. I rate that an A+ too!

They all talked to me about the risk, letting me know where I stood in those risk.
I would rate DR Pittman and his staff a 9+
I think surgical competence and bed side manner go hand in hand, I gotta have both.

My first impression of Dr. Pittman was excellent. He was friendly but professional, taking all the time required to answer questions in an honest and forthright manner. The front office staff was friendly and helpful. Karen is the R.N. who sort of coordinates everything and is absolutely fabulous. They are definately the "A" team. Dr. Pittman strikes me as a bit of a perfectionist ( a good thing in a surgeon). He has a reputation as a very skilled surgeon, and I am pleased to have him on my team.

I met with Dr.Giddens in mid-October...I Liked him from the beginning. He was super friendly and very professional. Karen is cordinating everything for me and she had gastric by-pass about 5 months ago. All of his office staff are awesome and many have told me that he is the only doctor they would trust for ANY surgery. I am 100% confident that Dr.Giddens is as great at performing the surgery as he is about explaining it. I hope to get everything finalized and have surgery in December...I will update more about him/his staff then. At this point I rate him and his staff a 10+.

Dr. Giddens is warm and personable. His office staff were helpful and seemed to care about my needs. My only complaint is the long wait, but i guess those things happen.

TIME TALKING TO ME, GETTING TO KNOW ME, AND LETTING ME ASK ANY QUESTIONS I NEEDED TO ASK.
I'M STILL IMPRESSED WITH HIM AND ALSO HIS WLS CO-ORDINATORS. THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. I REALLY DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING ABOUT HIM
TO DISLIKE.
HE DID THIS SURGERY 20 YEARS AGO BUT STOPPED
FOR AWHILE BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEMS THEY HAD
WITH STAPLING COMING UNDONE. HE STARTED AGAIN
BECAUSE OF THE VAST IMPROVEMENTS IN THE PROCEDURE.
HE DID ADDRESS THE ISSUES OF AFTER CARE AND ALSO THE RISKS OF THIS SURGERY.
AS FOR THE REST, I'LL HAVE TO WAIT TO TELL YOU HOW HE DID BEFORE, DURING , AND AFTER SURGERY.
