Dr. St. Laurent is the best. I had my surgery on May 30 and have lost about 80 pounds. He will sit with you and answer all of your questions---never acts like he is in a hurry and makes you feel like you are his only patient in his office. His after care program is the reason I have done so well. He meets with you every month for a year and requires that you meet with a nutritionist for 6 months after your surgery-----most doctors do the surgery and you never see them again. I am so happy he is my doctor. rnrnAmanda
Dr. St. Laurent is now in Houston TX. rnrnI had my first visit with Dr. St. Laurent Friday July 22, 06. I was very impressed with the office, the office help and the doctor. All the 'paperwork' is done via computer, and they scanned in the medical records that I brought with me.rnrnAs important as the number of surgeries he has done, is the importance of aftercare. He is now requiring visits to a dietician for first 6 months so that you 'learn' how to eat correctly while losing weight. He had noted that the patients that had used dietician in the past had greater success than those who didn't use dietician.rnrnThe other thing that really impressed me was that he 'knew' the names and something about his other patients. My family doctor acts like it's the first time he has met me every time I go. rnrnThe only thing I 'didn't' like was that he made me have my picture taken !!! eek :(
I felt like she was an old friend. She is extremely personable but at the same time she is knowledgable. I felt like she really loves what she does and thats the kind of person you want to have helping you.
I love Dr. St. Laurent! He was wonderful. He took time to answer all my questions and then some. He is very caring to his patients. Takes the time and care he knows you need. His plan is for YOUR benefit only! He requires you see his dietician. And so far from what I have heard she is wonderful! More food choices.........

He has be great so far. Everytime I have met with him he has taken his time to answer all of my questions. He is to the point... tells it like it is, I like that.
I have spoke to a few of his patients they all seemed happy with him.
His staff has been wonderful so far. They tell me to call for any reason what so ever. When I started calling often I thought they would change but never did.
I am having my surgery in 4 days.. I will update again when I get to the other side.
My first impression... honestly.. he looks a little like my hubby... so ... he is "HOT!!"
His office is very nice... I was impressed.. it wasn't scary hospital atmosphere.. he is located at the Willowbrook Hospital in Houston.
His office staff is wonderful very calm and they seem to have all the answers!!! I feel like a bug since I call every two minutes for new questions and answers.

Dr. St. Laurent really emphasizes the need of a great... support group after surgery.
All the risks... were covered in the Lap Band Seminar that the Dr. gave... Everything I have read... researched was covered... I really had no questions. My hubby did most of the raising his hand.. Nerves for both of us got the best of him I guess.
So far... He has been a great Dr.... but surgery isn't here yet... He has had more than 2,000 surgeries... I trust that!
I meet w/ Dr St Laurent tomorrow. I've seen his work on another coworker and her incision is spectacular. She doesn't even look like she's had surgery and it was only a month ago. I met the Dr and he was wonderful. Great personality, funny and cute. He made me feel extremely comfortable. I would recommend him!
