Dr. Mehta is a great guy and his staff is excellent . They took good care of me before and after my surgery.

Mt first impression of Dr. Mehta was WOW he is amazing and by any means necessary, he will be my surgeon. That said it is his knowledge of his craft that put me at ease and gave me the confidence in him that I made the right choice. I was terrified of the mortality rate and he didn't dance aroundmy concerns he explained all the risks and all the complications but assured me they could be dealt with IF they arose. I don't need a surgeon to be my best friend. I need a surgeon who will give it to me straight and can get me safely through this process. It doen't hurt that he is a nice and genuine man. I got that and more with Dr. Mehta and his staff.

I was depressed, out of breath and thought I would never be able to loose over 100 lbs. I then decided after lots of thinking to have lap band surgery. After surgery I had very minimal pain, felt so confident in Dr. mehta that my recovery was uneventful, weight loss was quick first month now about 21 lbs/week, and I am happy with that. It may take me a couple years to loose all my weight, but it took me years to gain it.rnrnThanks to Mehta Bariatric Group!!

BEFORE THE SURGERY I WAS FEELING DOWN SOMETIMES BECAUSE I COULD NOT FIT ANY CLOTHES. AFTER SURGERY I AM HAPPY AND JOYFULL. VERY GOOD WITHIN MYSELF. ALL OWED TO DR. MEHTA.

I was always heavy. I've tried all kinds of diets from weight watchers to Atkins. I lost a little here or there but never enough, it was a life long struggle but I always had loving friends and family so things weren't always bad.rnI reached a point where somthing had to give and I did not want it to be my liife, so I looked into Gastric Bypass with Dr. Mehta and I found all the answeres. It took about two months to get my surgery date. I had it right after Thanksgiving so I was able to have my last \"Big Meal\". The surgery was over in an hour and a half, I was in a little pain but it was well worth it!!rnrnI now weigh 150-155 and I'm energetic and healthy. I feel GREAT!! Today marks 6 months since my gastric bypass surgery. I was 298 pounds on December 11, 2006. I have currently lost 102 pounds!! I never thought that this coud be possible.rnrnI used to take more mediations than I care to remember. The medications were to treat high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. I have consulted with my ohter doctors and they all agree that none of these medications are necessary anymore. The savings on prescription drugs are worth it alone. My A1C levels are completely normal, my blood pressure and cholesterol are both perfect. I do not snore anymore have not any incidents of sleep apnea.rnrnI have lost over 12 inches in my waist and 14 inches in my chest. Imagine my surprise when I was measured for a tuxedo and the jacket was a 42 instead of the 56 that used to be. My shoe size has even changed from a triple wide to a regular. I am no longer self-conscious about taking my shirt off to go swimming. I have not done that since I was in the third grade!rnrnI will never regret the decision to have the surgery. You and your staff provided information and support above and beyond any surgeon that I worked with in teh past. The whole experience from initial consultation to pre-admission to hospital stay to follow up was unsurpassed. Your bedside manner is truly commendable. You took the time to get to know my needs, and me and I know that is not easy given the number of people you treat. You even personally returned a phone call to me late on a Friday night when I had concerns.rnrnI came to you on recommendation from a fellow employee. She gave you glowing reviews that were completely on the mark. I am proud to speak of you and gladly refer friends to your office.rnrn

My first impression was very good, the doctor was very upfront but kind. He answered every question and gave me a very positive outlook. Before I met Dr. Mehta I met with other doctors and noone was as kind and relaxed as he was. The staff was very friendly. Lulu is great and VERY honest. They seem to have everything you need right in the one office. I definately was very well informed at my first meeting. Dr. Mehtas support group meetings are awesome, everything you want to know you can get from these meetings.

Dr. Mehta and his staff are Phenomenol!! Lulu, Gloria and Kriten are so motivating and helpful, always there for you when you need anything. I chose Dr. Mehta as my surgeon because of all the wonderful things I heard about him and his staff. The support groups are awesome! Very informative and motivating! I could not have been more satisfied with the care I received before and after surgery. I met with Dr. Mehta about 2 months ago. I was very impressed with his professionalism. His office staff were very helpful. In fact one of his staff had the Bariatric surgery and is available to discuss any questions you might have. rnDr. Mehta stresses aftercare. He has support groups set up and encourages his patients to attend. rnHe speaks of the risks of the surgery but he is very confident in his skill and eases your worries. rnI personally like a doctor who is competent and also has a good bedside manner. I need someone to \"hold my hand\" and be reassuring. Kindness and encouragment is very important to me. rnI have just finished all the tests needed before the surgery and am waiting for one result. I then can make my appointment for the surgery. I am anxious and yet very excited about my new adventure. For me the surgery isn't the easy way out but the only way out.rn
