Dr. Luttrell was so nice, and actually made you feel okay about having maybe a million ???"s He is very easy to understand in his explanation of medical terms. The nurses have been fabulous, they actually return your calls!!!

Dr. Luttrell was wonderful. My first consult with him i felt he was nothing but honest and helpful. Eager to answer any and all of my questions. I felt his staff was worm and friendly and made me feel like I was welcome there. He is wonderful with the surgery and even with the after care. If you have any questions at home and you call his office you get an imediate respose. I realy do belive he is the best choice in Little Rock. I had nothing negative with him i just had some neg care at the hospital but that had nothing to do with him or his staff.

DR. LUTTRELL SEEMS VERY NICE. HE IS VERY INFORMATIVE AND MADE SURE I UNDERSTOOD THAT THERE CAN BE COMPLICATIONS AS THERE CAN BE WITH ANY SURGERY. ALL IN ALL HE IS VERY NICE AND SO IS HIS STAFF.

My first visit with Dr. Luttrell was very good. I was nervous about meeting him but as soon as I did, he put me at ease. He was very careful to review the risks and explain the tecnique he would be using. He also emphasized that this surgery alone will not accomplish lasting weight loss. It is only a tool and you will have to learn how to best use it to accomplish your goals. His staff was very helpful. One of my insurances denied the surgery - Health Advantage - as a coverage not puchased by the company I work for. They immediately sent a letter to TriCare and received approval in about a week. When they called to tell me I was so excited. His nurse Mae called to schedule my surgery. She worked around my schedule and set the appointment at my convenience. I will update as things progress. As for which is more important.....competency is number one, but the way that things are today, you never really know the competency of your surgeon. You have to go by recommendations of others. I believe that Dr. Luttrell is competent. I also believe that for your own peace of mind, your doctor should be someone that you can feel good about and at ease with. You have to feel that you can ask him anything. I feel that way with Dr. Luttrell. These statements are my opinion. Someone else may not relate to the same people in the way that I do. You will have to make your judgements for yourself.

He was a nice person and told me about the
surgery and asked if I had questions.I also

My first impression of him was very positive and I knew I made the right choice. He is very encouraging and keeps close contact with his patients and has genuine concern. My opinion is extremely high of him. I've sent 2 more people to him since my surgery. His staff are great people who are very sincere and sweet.What I liked and still like about Dr. Luttrell is that he makes you feel so good about yourself and takes the time to answer ANY questions you may have very patiently. His heart seems to be in his practice. He still keeps close watch over his patients post-op. I could be his pr person! He schedules regular checkups and his staff handles phoned in questions very well. He addressed the risks involved but was very upbeat and encouraging throughout the whole situation. My rating for him and his staff would be superior. I'm just bursting open to help people with this life changing decision! They are more than just your surgeon and caregivers. They make you feel like their your friend. To be a well skilled surgeon with a very competent staff and wonderful bedside manner makes for a hard to beat practice!

Dr.Rex Luttrell is going to do my surgery ,I really like him and his staff they were very nice. My surgery is going to be july 19,2000 .And I can't wait until it is over with ,so keep me in you prayers please.

Dr. Luttrell is absolutely phenomenal. He is very detailed about possible complications from the surgery, and he has a great concern for his patients. He has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff at the Bariatric Center is also great!!! They are always so happy to see me.

Dr. Luttrell and his staff really stress the importance of post-op care and have a support group for those who are interested.

Hi I am 34 years old. I had my surgery August 12, 1999. I had a lot of complications post op.. I had pulmonary Emboli in my lungs 3 weeks post op. Dr. Lutrell was very supportive and patient as well as his staff. He worked via phone with the doctors in at that time Rogers Arkansas. He is an excellent surgeon and I would recomend him to anyone. I am now doing great and have lost a total of 96 pounds in a little over 6 months.
