At Las Vegas Bariatrics, we are dedicated to the health, wellness, and the quality of life of our patients. Our medical director is the renowned, board-certified bariatric surgeon, Bernie Hanna, MD, FACS. Dr. Hanna founded Las Vegas Bariatrics in 2003. Dr. Hanna leads our team with the goal to redefine surgical weight loss by emphasizing nutrition, fitness, and group support both before and after bariatric surgery. We are proud to be a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) accredited for excellence in patient care and safety.

As a highly trained, experienced bariatric surgeon, Dr. Hanna has completed many years of academic training and several hands-on internships and residencies. Dr. Hanna’s extensive surgical background allows him to confidently perform sophisticated bariatric surgery procedures including the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG), Roux-en-Y (RNY) Gastric Bypass, Adjustable Gastric Band (Lap-Band), and weight loss surgery revisions. To provide other options for our patients, we have a medical weight loss program directed by our certified dietitian. In addition, we routinely perform procedures for Hiatal Hernias and Reflux Surgery.
