Q: What was your first impression of him/herrnrnA: The first time I saw my doctor I thought \"yep he's a Dr. alright\".rnrnQ: How did your impression of him change over time?rnrnA: After meeting him, and working with him for sometime now, I've found him to be a really nice, affable, gentleman, that's not just about the medicine but about the people too.rnrnHe really seems to care about his patients as people, and not just as a number or a paychecck.rnrnQ:How would you describe his office staff?rnrnA: His office staff and I have \"butted heads\" a few times you could say, sometimes because of them, sometimes because of fact that I can be a very difficult individual to deal with, and sometimes because of others.rnrnBut all in all I'd have to say that for the most part they are proffesional and kind. rnrnQ: What did you like least about him?rnrnA: The fact that he had to at one point put a delay on my surgery date.rnrnQ:What should future patients know about him?rnrnA: I think my Doctors patients should know that he's probably one of the best Doctors you could go to for this surgery, in the Cincinnati Ohio area. I mean he really, really, 'knows his stuff\".rnrnQ: How much does he/she emphasize aftercare?rnrnA: Well I'm a special case. I've had some repeat infections, so he sees me once a week. And is personally monitoring my wound care.rnrnQ: Does he/she have a structured aftercare program.rnrnA: Yes. rnrnQ: How did he/she adress the risks of rnsurgery? rnrnA: Both the Dr. and the team were very up front about the risks associated with my procedure. And besides informing me in writing of what the risks were, went over those risks several times with me individually. rnrnQ: How would you rate him/her overall?rnrnA: On a scale of one to ten. 10 being the best and 1 being the worst I'd have to give my Dr. somewhere between a 8 or a 9. rnrnQ: Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great?rnrnA: In my case I found my Dr. to be great in both area's. Infact that's why I plan on having him fix my hernia next.rnrn

Dr. Kerlakian was a very straight forward and very caring. He has a great bedside manner. He was very straight forward when explaining the risks of surgery. His whole staff was excellent. Very friendly and professional. He and his team have a very structured program. They have a wonderful aftercare program also. He took all precautions when performing my surgery. He was a great surgeon with excellent bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone . The only downside for me was my travel time.

Dr. Kerlakian is a very good surgeon and cares very much about his patients. His staff is incrediable. Dr Kerlakian and staff have a super before and after program and support system in place. You see them on a scheduled basis for two years. I will be seeing all of them again in April for my two year anniversary. I am very pleased with my results and happy I chose Dr. Kerlakian and his wonderful staff for this life changing experience. They saved my life.

I really like Dr. Kerlakian. He is a very helpful and he really cares about his patients. The staff are really wonderful people. All are really friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the staff and Dr. Kerlakian.

Dr. K. came off as a very down to business type of man, yet he had a warm smile and was very softspoken. His staff was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of the way to make my entire process as painless and smooth as possible, while still addressing the risks and difficulties in a realistic manner. Dr.K.'s team's entire process is very structured including aftercare and I appreciate how easy it was/is to follow. I would highly recommend Dr.K. and his staff to anyone considering any type of weightloss surgery.

I asked his opinion, he gave me a straight answer. Looked at three different Bariatric Surgery web sites in my town and liked what I read in his bio and that the surgery would be at Good Sam. Contacted four of my cousins who work at Good Sam and asked their opinion of him. Also, asked a friend about him. He performed gall bladder surgery on her. And she said he was excellent.

My first impression of Dr. Kerlakian is that he was very patient and a good listener. He stated that I would be a good candidate for gastric or lapband. I think I am going to go with the lapband as I feel more comfortable with that. I still have alot more to learn about him but I will keep you updated.

Even though I had a horrible experience with my surgery, Dr. Kerlakian was very caring and concerned throughout my entire hospital stay and still continues to do so.rnHe is very easy to talk to.rnHis staff is pleasant, although sometimes it is hard to get through to someone in the office, but they do respond back.

My first impression was that he appeared to be professional in character. He was very informative and direct. He told me exactly what to expect and did not sugar coat it. He enforces the issue of meeting a dietician and pulmonary specialist before seeing him. He performed the surgery with no problems and immediately followed up with my family on my condition and care. He checked on me to make sure I was doing what I was suppose to during my hospital stay. He also has monthly group meetings.

Dr. Kerlackian and his staff are wonderful. They are knowledgeable, the informational seminar was very informative, the meetings/classes were extremely helpful, and the staff was very supportive. rnrnDr. K himself was very straight to the point and also very caring. He understands that you are doing this for your health. They also make sure that you are definitely ready to make the life time changes that are necessary. They gave us information and tools that we need after surgery.rnrnThey addressed the risks and also the rewards of different surgeries to ensure we picked the right one. I would recommend Dr. Kerlackian and his staff to any new patient who is truly ready to make this step in becoming healthy!rnrnI am very picky about my care and health providers. I know that the page says that completely positive reviews can be suspect, but in this case, I truly have nothing negative to say. My experience with Dr. Kerlackian and his staff has so far been 100% positive.
