Daniel Lane, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center
Dr. Lane and his staff were great. I had my surgery in August 2010 and he took the time to explain to me in detail preparing me for my surgery. The absolute best surgeon I've ever had. He and his staff were friendly, but to the point and that counts for a lot. Dr. Daniel Lane is not just a Bariatric Surgeon to me, he's a LIFESAVER!
My first impression of Dr. Lane was when I went to the seminar. He is a great educator and passionate about bariatric surgery. He answered questions and made sure you understood.
For the Doctor visit, it took a while to see him but that's ok because I know he takes time with his patients and talks to them so that really didn't bother me at all, because I knew he would do that for me. There is really nothing I don't like about him. He is straight forward, does not beat around the bush and gives you the best options. He and his NP are great and make sure you understand the diet afterwards. He addressed all the risks and benefits of the surgery and makes sure you understand them. Even though he is not a big man, in fact he is lean, he actually understands where the bariactic patient is coming from. All the aches and pains we have. He is very safe especially with his pre op lab, xrays, and pulmonlogy. In the hospital, he and his NP came to see me and even the pulmonogist I seen. They are insistent of you walking and drinking water. I am a nurse and have worked in surgery before and I have to say..he is great.
I would recommend Dr. Lane to anyone interested in WLS. He was very williand and able to answer all of my questions.
My first impression of Dr. Snow was that he is a true professional. I still feel that he was the best surgeon that I could have paid for but I do feel that his \"aftercare\" ideas are a little strange. He stresses not to eat if you are not hungry and that nobody ever died from not eating for a couple of days. I agree and disagree with this. I do think it is important to monitor our hunger levels but I don't think it's a good idea for us not to eat at all either. Having said that, I would still pick him to be my surgeon again. He knows the important stuff and the other can be left to the dietian. I rate him very high. Found out that he will be retiring in Dec. 08.
Dr. Lane is super nice. He makes sure that you ask plenty of questions and he covers everything in detail. My first impression of him was that he was younger than I thought he would be. After my first apppointment with him, I was confident that he was a well qualified surgeon. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is seeking WLS. He saw me in the hospital and was very concerned that my pain was being controlled and that I was confortable. Overall, I give him a superb rating.
Dr Snow is a fantisitc surgeron as is his partners. He took around 3 hrs to talk to a group of people and tell us about the RNY. I was so excited. I wanted mine done \"now\".rnThe office staff are very professional, careing and supportative. rnThe risks of the surgery were explained. I knew the risks, as I use to work in a hosptial.rnI would recommend anyone to use Dr. Snow as a surgeron.rnDr. Snow has a great bedside manner and a caring smile everytime I see him.
First impression of Dr. Snow, was mature, knowledgeable, made u feel comfortable and at home great bedside manner, knows his stuff and explains it all so very well just do as he says and everything will be ok. He makes sure you're well informed about before during and after surgery care.rnrnOffice staff Patricia and Mary were great willing to help and answer questions.rnNurses and secretary's were a bit abrupt not that friendly but i'm sure they have stresses and doing what they do everyday can become tiresome, but they were very efficient in their jobs and that's all that matters not looking to make friends just them take care of what needs to be taken care of and they do and did.rnrnAfter care program could be a lil more structured esp for patients who are not in the area. rnI rate Dr. Snow so far a 8 or 10 and i haven't even had surgery yet so who knows he could be a 10!!!
