Not only is Dr. Jay a wonderful surgeon, he is also a very good person. His reassurance that I would do well during and after the surgery helped me greatly. He treats all of his patients with the care and concern that one needs to undergo a life changing surgery such as this one. His office staff is wonderful. I would never have gone through this experience if I was not comfortable with him. Not only am I impressed, but I am thankful that he had the experience and the personality to assist me before and after the surgery.

Dr J is wonderful- he is a very caring and kind person but also very knowledgeable and highly skilled in laparoscopic surgery. My surgery was a great experience.

Dr J has an aftercare program with monthly support meetings, a psychologist in his office and most of his office staff have lapbands.

Dr. Jay is a wonderful surgeon and person with a great sense of humor.
He's not like most surgeons....he's actually very compassionate about what he does and he's very caring.
Is office staff is great....especially since I started working for him on 6/1/04!!
He does focus very closely on follow-up and aftercare. He does not charge anything for follow-up office visits, only for fills. He also has a monthly support group which meets on the first Monday of every month @ 7pm in building A @ Medical City Dallas. He has chosen to do Lap-Bands versus the Roux-en-Y because the risks associated with the band are so minimal. He will tell you that there are risks involved any time you have surgery, but the outcome of the band is well worth the risk. For most, the risk of being overweight is much higher than that of the Lap-Band procedure. I would definately rate Dr. Jay a 10+....afterall, he changed my life....forever!!

HAven't actually met him yet. My consult was with his associate Dr. Cha. His staff is very nice and extrexely helpful.

To answer all questions, he is an excellent doctor.
He has a great knowledge of what he is doing, and a sense of humor to match.
Dr. Jay is truthful and honest about every aspect of the surgery before and after. Nothing is "sugar-coated" to protect your feelings, because this a life altering decision to be made.
I suggest anyone even thinking of having WLS or any sugery do thorough research of the surgeon or surgeons, because it is your life you are gambling with.

He is very compassionate and down to earth. That is why I really liked him.
His staff was very helpful. I rate him overall...great! Very competant and fair. He does have a support group there at Medical city and I lke that.

dr jajaseelan is a very impressive person. he takes the time to answer all your questions and concerns. he has a very kind and effcient staff. they will always take time to make sure any questions you have are addressed. the whole staff is very supportative and makes sure you understand the aftercare program. i would rate dr jayaseelan as a +10.

surgical competence is number one but good bedside manners is a plus also

The first impression I got from his office was how good the energy was there. Everyone waiting for their 2 week Post-Op visit were so wonderful and helpful with lots of information.
My first impression of Dr. J was he was so confident and sure that AGB works better over time than gastric bypass.
Everyone in his office was nice and helpful.
I couldn't find any flaws in Dr. J by speaking with him and attending his seminar.
I would definately refer him to anyone that wants to research Lap Band surgery instead of gastric bypass.
He made sure that everyone understood the morbity rate on this surgery and it does come with risks.

His staff is all so really nice, CiCi always takes time to answer questions and listen to my babbling.
