Cleveland Center for Bariatric Surgery St Vincents Bariatric Center

Dr Schreiber was all business, but very kind, and wanted me to do what I felt was best for me.
Since surgery and having seen him one time, he is still all business, but concerned that I follow the "program" for a healthier me.
The staff at his office has been a real God send to me. My first insurance company turned me down and they put up with me calling every day or every other day and never got tired of hearing from me (I don't think)
I really believe that Dr, Schreiber and the staff filled me in on all aspects of the surgery before we made the final decision. I am a question asker and I filled them with all the questions They may have forgotten.
All in all the whole experience for me has been a very good one.

he was very straightforward.he answered all of my and my husbands concerns.
I saw how professionally he acted with his patients. still straightforward-hides nothing
helpful
His straightforwardness can sometimes come across as blunt, but sometimes thats what you need. He is highly professional.
HIGHLY. if you dont have it done in his offices, you must promise your doctor will send the neccessaries. YES. every few weeks after surg then every 6mo. till goal then yearly. YES. all questions will be answered matter of factly with no soft touches. you know exactly what is happening.
scale of 1-10 I'd give him a 25
Surgical competence, but isnt that wat you'd like better from a man who is going to perform a major operation?

I only met with Dr. Schreiber briefly but my impression of him was very professional and that he knows what he's doing and he's seen a million people like me. He neither encouraged me or discouraged me but let me know it had to be my decision and what I really wanted in my heart--which made me feel really good. The office staff--especially Sherri (thanks sherri) is wonderful. They have been very accomadating and prompt in returning phone calls (I can be a pain in the butt when I want something!!) I also had been personally recommended to him by a friend who had the surgery so that made me feel really good about my decision also.

Dr Schreiber was caring and compassionate. His staff is the best! Right Weight Bariatrics has a great follow up program and support group. I have heard all positive things about Dr Schreiber from his peers and former patients. I work in the medical field and throughly investigated the doctor, the surgery, the hospital and Right Weigh Bariatrics before I decided to proceed with the surgery. I was disappointed that I have not seen Dr Schreiber since my post op visit. I see his office staff when I go infor check ups. They are very competent and have met all my needs.

Dr. Schreiber is a wonderful, caring and patient man. I have truly enjoyed my time with him and his wonderful staff. They are all so easy to talk to and really care about your recovery and your success.
It has now been a year after my surgery and I am so glad to say that I have lost 101 lbs. I continue to watch what I eat and I exercise 5 to 7 times a week.

My first impression of Dr. Schreiber was that he was a competent, compassionate, and soft spoken man. He took the time to sit with me and explain every aspect of the surgery, good and bad. When i left his office i felt comfortable with the decision i had made and was glad the he was my doctor. His ofice staff is the absolute BEST! Sondra's cheeerful voice when you call the office makes you want to go in. The nurses Julie and Karen answered all my questions and each gave me their business card incase i forgot to ask something.Beth the dietician sat with me for a half hour as i questioned her about everything you'd ever want to know about protein and the post op diet. The aftercare program is wonderful, they hold meetings once a month. It's nice to see everyone there from different stages of their journey with weight loss. I had thought about traveling elsewhere to have the surgery until i did a little research and found that the best place was right in my backyard. As you can see I am thrilled with the program and my surgeon, for the first time in my life I look forward to going to the doctors.

I have only had one meeting with him so far and I felt alittle like we were all on an assembly line herded in and out because there were so many of us. Dr. Schrieber came highly recommened for his great surgical abiltys though and he seems to really know what he is doing. He was very stright forward about the increased risks involved for another surgery, but was confident he would have no real problems doing the revision from the vbg to the r-n-y. The r-n-y has much greater long term effectivness! They have monthly support groups and great follow up care there so I am pleased woith them at st. Vincents hospital in cleveland dR. Schrieber and doctor Sonpal work on all their cases together in the operating room and that makes me feel safer knowing that 2 good surgerns will be there!

Dr. Schreiber is very up front. He is caring and tells you every angle so you can be sure what you choose is for YOUR life.
What can I say to describe his staff. mmmm well...WOW!!! They are the best. They take you under their wings and get you through thick and thin. You feel so at ease you can talk or ask about anything.
The after care is our new way of life for LIFE. They help in each step and they make sure we are healthy and are learning to use everything to stay healthy in our body and also mentally with support.
I would rate the staff and Dr.Schreiber with a 100% A+
There is alot of information to take in on pre-testing day. Plan to be all day. They take: Urin,Blood,Blood gas,EKG,Gallblader sonagram,Chest X-Ray,breathing and medical history, then physical. You will then meet with the different staff members to learn what to expect in hospital, home, and months to come. You will learn the do's and don'ts with foods. Last... LOTS of papers.
