Central Valley Bariatrics Bariatric Center
Dr. Keshishian,Ara (Delano,Ca)rnwill be doing my revision from previous RNY to Duodenial Switch.rnSceduled surgery date January,22.2007
My first impression of Dr. Keshishian was of a man that cared deeply about what he was doing and that has not changed, if anything it is a stronger impression now than ever. His staff is very skilled and professional and his concern for others is reflected in there work and attatude. Dr K has a warped sence of humor which I think is GREAT and a welcomed addition to his bedside manor. Dr. K is very spacific about what he wants in aftercare for his patience and emphasizes it strongly. Dr. K's aftercare is very well laid out and easy to follow. Dr. K stressed to me the risks of this surgery in detail but assured me that the risks i faced with out the surgery were far greater than having the surgery. I would rate Dr. K as a very skilled surgon with a very strong compassion for his patience that is not seen much of today. I belive surgical competence and bedside manor go hand in hand and both are needed and great. I realy do not have anything bad to say about Dr. K or his staff for me it was a wonderful experiance and if I had to do it all over again I would in a heart beat.
Dr Keshishian is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend him highly to anyone interested in having the DS. He is funny and I love his ties it gives him personality. I liked him from the first time I met and I just became more and more fond of him over time. He is an excellent surgeon and has a great bed side manner. His aftercare is very thorough and he stands by it 100%.
My first impression of Dr. K. was "how odd"! He wears these bow ties and that just struck me as funny because our daughter's nickname while in utero was Bow Tie. Family story . . .
My impression didn't change. I still think it's odd, but it is endearing and quirky and so much his style!
Dr. K's staff is fantastic and helpful. Certain people are more helpful than others, but they have been where I am and they just 'get it'.
I can't think of anything that I didn't like about Dr. K
Dr. K does have a structured aftercare program, but I do not utilize it. I flew from Indiana to have surgery with him and I can't fly to California every time I need to see him. I have found someone more local to do my aftercare, but that wasn't because I didn't want to utilize his program. It was totally logistics.
Dr. K didn't try and diminish the risks of the surgery itself, he just wasn't concerned about the risks for me. I was relatively healthy and my co-morbidities weren't severe yet. He said I would come through with flying colors and I did.
I would give Dr. K a very high rating and encourage anyone who is considering him to look no further. He very well may be the perfect man.
His surgical competence is incomparable and so is his bedside manner. He is truly fantastic.
Dr. K is outsanding..... He is a kind and caring person. He spends an outragous amount of time with you during office visits...
He has remained the same throughout this process

You must follow through and do your part
Yes.... 2 yrs..
Had his nurse cover the procedure and then cover it himself.. He will not do the procedure on just anyone..
OUTSTANDING
He is wonderful on both competence and bedside manner...
I have nothing bad to say about my procedure - the hospital was wonderful - they are trained to work with these patients..
They treat you like a human
I know you are supposed to try and find something negative - but I can't......
Gods blessings to you....
Shirley
I have only visited the office once and all of the staff from the reception to the surgeons were friendly and knowledgable. Dr. K was warm, friedly and geniunely concerned.
The education seminar was informative and open. All questions regarding pre and post operative risks and procedures were answered and the teaching staff makes sure that you know exactly what you are getting yourself into. The program was fully explained and followed up with an excellent teaching and information binder.
Even though I have a six hour drive to Delano for my surgery = I really believe that it is worth it. Delano Bariatrics is a wonderful, caring and experienced organization.
