As a patient of Dr. Adeyeri's, my experiences pre-surgery, during surgery and post surgery have been wonderful. Upon meeting Dr. Adeyeri during my initial consultation and discussing the option of the adjustable gastric band as a weight loss tool for me, I felt very informed, assured and confident that this was the best choice by the end of the consultation. I had a list of questions and concerns regarding the surgery and Dr. Adeyeri answered them all without hesitation and put my mind at ease. The office staff was very helpful in guiding me through all of the prerequisite appointments neccessary for the surgery. They did a great job of keeping track of what information was received and what was still pending. The day of sugery went very smooth at Raritan Bay Medical Center. Dr. Adeyeri, along with the nursing staff, had wonderful bedside manner and made me feel very comfortable. One of the most important keys to having success with weight loss surgery is the continued monitoring and assessment of your progress. He shows a personal vested interest in your success and what's best for you. Dr. Adeyeri is a big proponent of attending bariatric support groups. I find these to be very motivating, informative, helpful and a big contributor to my weight loss success to date. I would highly recommend Dr. Adeyeri as your bariatric surgeon to anyone considering having weight loss surgery.
Dr. Adeyeri is an extremely kind, patient and thorough surgeon. Because of his skill, I had no complications from surgery, in spite of numerous health issues. Dr. Adeyeri takes the time to discuss your concerns and answers your questions readily. He is very passionate about being healthy and maintaining a healthy lifestyle post surgery. His office staff are extremely helpful, friendly and supportive. They assist with insurance coordination and nutritional support and are always available.The support groups are extremely helpful and provide alot of information from all types of bariatric patients and are really enjoyable. I have recommended Dr. Adeyeri highly to several friends and will continue to in the future. He has changed my life and will be forever an integral part of my new lifestyle.
Dr Adeyeri performed my gastric bypass surgery on 9/7/11. It is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Dr A was clear about the ups and downs of surgery and together we decided which bariatric surgery to have. He is always available for any questions and concerns and his staff, Mara and Julie are the best. They are very helpful and patient with all the questions and concerns. Dr A even advised my sisters, who are nurses, to call him with any questions and concerns they have regarding my surgery and recuperation, which is A+ in my book, no other surgeon extends himself to family members. His interest in his patients does not end with the surgery. He constantly encourages his patients to go to the support meetings, and he does check up on who is there too!! He feels that his experience and the patient's hard work make for a successful life after surgery. I would recommend him to anyone interested in have gastric surgery.
Gastric bypass surgery has changed my life. Dr. A did wonders for me. He did an amazing job on my surgery and I have NO complaints. I am so happy I had him do this surgery for me. I was not scared at all. He definitely put me at ease. He has many years of experience. I was confident in him. I was so ready for this surgery, and I can tell you, you would not be disappointed with him or his welcoming staff.
Dr. Adeyeri, Thank you so much for everything you did for me. The morning of surgery I was so calm, then you came in with a smile on your face, it made me feel good inside. I was so calm because you gave me alot of good info to help me along the way. If i had a question you would answer it professional and easy to understand. Thank you to you and your team

I truly thank Dr. Adeyeri for saving my life. On the day of my surgery I was 348 lbs, my eating was out of control, my heart was in A-Fib, blood pressure was always high, my diabetes was out of control and I had sleep apnea. I was a very high risk surgery. Dr. Adeyeri took the time to work with my other doctors to ensure that my heart would be okay for the surgery.
Ms. Mara Munoz, who one day shall make a great nurse, took care of all the paperwork required for the insurance company and there was tons as we all know. Ms. Munoz is a very caring person and a true professional and Dr. Adeyeri should give her a raise. Ms. Munoz makes all the patients feel special and cared for, God Bless Her and I thank her for all her hard work her did for me.
The day of my surgery came and oh my God was I scared, scared like I could not believe. The Nurses and staff of the Raritan Bay Medical Center could tell I am scared and talked to me not as you would a child, but as a man who just needed to know I was going to be fine. Then guess who’s smile I seen, that is right Dr. Adeyeri, always smiling and confident. He made me feel so much better. I have been very blessed with Great doctors, and Dr. Adeyeri is one of my many blessings, the way he talks to you and not at you, the way he smiles at you, the way he treats you as a person and not just another patient.
While at the hospital I got a fever, the nurse told me that she was calling Dr. Adeyeri and would be right back. The medical staff at Raritan Bay really cared, they were great. Dr. Adeyeri was at the hospital and by my side in minutes. He talked with me and told me what he was going to order for me and ensured I understood, he knows that I may have been a great cop, but knows crap about medical stuff. He stayed with me and ensured that I went for the test he ordered and my fever was down. Dr. Adeyeri treated me like I was a member of his family. Well here I am almost 60 lbs lighter and as happy as a puppy getting his belly rubbed. I am off of five medications and others are being reduced. I am breathing better each day, diabetes is under control and blood pressure is good. Dr. Adeyeri, you sir saved my life. My daughters say thank you and most of all I say thank you. God Bless You

On first impression of Dr. Seun I found him to be thorough, kind, and caring. It was my first appt. and I was so nervous but though serious, he had the personality to laugh a little and really helped me to relax. I went to his seminar last night, Wed 09/14/2011 and again he was professional yet light hearted. I feel confident in placing my future and this process in both his and his staff's hands. I have a tentative surgery date of 12/12/11 and I will keep you posted!
I think Dr. Seun Sowemimo has a great professional manner. He cares about you as a person and patient. The office staff is great. I am greatful for the Nutritionist Julie Parrott. I hope to continue with the support group that is available. I am thankful for Dr.Seun's care.
When I think of all that Dr. Seun has done for me, it's hard to imagine that a simple thank you would suffice. Yet I cannot help being overwhelmed with sincere gratitude to him and his amazing staff. You see, I suffer from white coat anxiety that has kept me from visiting doctors regularly for over 25 years. It took me two years just to work up the never to even go to a seminar. Luckily it was one of Dr. Seun's, and that was where I had my first real interaction with him, which was truly amazing. Later down the line, I had a great pre-op visit, where he answered all my questions clearly and concisely, and never spoke down to me. He was forthright with his advice and was willing to individualize my plan for my particular needs (both physical and emotional). The next time I saw him was on the day of my surgery. Needless to say, this was not a great day for me due to my anxiety. When I was wheeled into the OR waiting area, I was alone without any other patients in the room, and there was only one nurse there, and she sat on the other side of the room. Being all alone, my anxiety and fear got to the point where I was literally ready to rip the IV out and go home. Luckily after quick visits from a nurse and an anesthesiologist, Dr. Seun showed up. He immediately noticed that I wasn't doing so well, and he took the time to stand there and reassure me that he would take care of me, and that there was nothing to worry about. Honestly, that five minutes he spent with me completely put me at ease. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Seun, and I certainly could never thank him enough for his kindness and for the incredibly high quality of his care. On the day of my surgery, he not only gave me a new tool and an plan to help me combat my obesity, he gave me a sense of confidence in the medical profession that has continued to ease my anxiety. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Seun, and his amazing office staff.
