Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery Bariatric Center
My first impression of Dr. Cunneen was very positive. He answered all of my questions and had a good manner with both me and my partner and overall gave what seemed to me a very balanced view of the risks and benefits of the surgery. My only concern was that he asked very few questions about me--but I guess he feels that he'll get most of what he needs from the extensive paperwork I filled out an the tests he has ordered. I am worried about aftercare--really all they have is a group with a nutritionist--which is at 4 p.m on Wednesdays--not a good time at all for most of us working folks. I think this is an issue for many of us as we often get the surgery quite a distance from where we live.
My first impression of this doctor (besides that he is very good-looking) was that he was very competent. At my first consult, he was very patient and explained everything to me, not sugar coating anything!! I immediately felt comfortable with him and knew he was the right doctor. Everything about him was perfect. His staff members are also wonderful. Special thanks to Chris who really helped speed up my surgery by calling me with an earlier date. Dr. Cunneen is the best doctor!!! I would rate him a A+++.
My first impression of him (Dr. Cunneen)was very positive. He is a very compitent surgeon. I feel safe with him. He answered all my questions and stated how important it is to ask as many questions as I would like. My impression of his office staff is great. They are very good about protecting the patients. Making sure the insurance is doing everything they are supposed to be doing. We need that. To know someone is in our corner. I have not had my surgery yet but what is most important is ask questions. Alot!! This is your body and it lets Dr. Cunneen know you not only thought your decision threw but you are very compitent. He appreciates that because he knows how important and serious this procedure is. Dr. Cunneen states the after care is non negotiable. It is mandatory period. He has an after care program in place but I can't say how great it is yet. Not until after my surgery. Dr. Cunneen was very straight forward about the risks of surgery. Not trying to scare anyone but he beleives you should know what you are getting into. Well so far Dr. Cunneen has been great but we will see after surgery.
1. I was very impressed with Dr. Cuneen. He initially appeared to be very patient and interested in getting to know me.
2. As I completed each step I found Dr. Cuneen more and more open to meeting my needs.
3. His office staff were extremely personable and helpful.
4. N/A
5. That they've chosen an excellent doctor.
6. Very much so. His program requires at minimum 1 year follow up to ensure your post op safety.
7. Yes. There is a very comprehensive structured aftercare program.
8. He discussed all the risks of surgery and strongly suggested that I discuss this decision with my husband. He even stated that he would like to meet with my husband to ensure that he's aware of everything's that's going to take place before, during and after surgery.
9. If ten is the highest I would rate
Dr. Cuneen 10+....
10. Both are great and a must know/have in my book. Knowing that your doctor is competent to do the procedure and making me as comfortable as possible with my decision is like having your cake and eating it to.
I felt good about the time Dr. Cunneen took discussing the surgery with me. I do wish they had informed me during my consult of all the tests that were expected. I was told of the psych. consult, EKG and chest x-rays well after my meeting w/Dr. Just think things would have gone quicker if I could have set it all up in the beginning.
All in all, my experience with his office has been good.
