Awesome. Personable. Talks to you in layman terms. Makes you feel very comfortable and gives you essential information to make informed decisions. Very skilled surgeon who leaves no stone unturned in pre-op testing, surgery, and post-op follow ups. Support staff are incredible.

Had my surgery the 28th, Monday. Think I am doing well overall. Just a question how long does this terrible pain in one side last?

I had the VSG 10/28/2013. I initially was assigned to another Surgeon I was not comfy with so I opted to wait for the BEST and from research that is Dr Lucktong. he is a quiet man but thorough straight and to the point and I felt him pushing along the way. he knew what I could handle and he made sure pre op and post that I walked with my best foot forward. My next fav is Jimmi omg I love her she washed my back for me and just showed me the female love and compassion the Dr Lucktong could not lol. I love the team. Now some people may not understand his silence but I would rather have a Dr that listens than the one that I was gonna have that wouldn't let me speak and wouldn't even shake my hand and then walked out on me without me being able to even ask her one single question. I recently went to my local ER because I knew I was dehydrated I knew I wasn't drinking as much as I should I was really dehydrated and had a UTI. the very next day Dr Lucktongs office called me to make sure I come in to see them and take my meds the ER gave me and this was 4 months post-op. That shows me the caring does not stop they are in it to make sure we win it (our lives back). I told him I will be his greatest success story and I am the next time he see me I will be a new person so to Dr L and his staff thank you for giving me this chance thank you for doing what you do hell thank you for excepting Medicaid lol thank you for everything. I pray a blessing for you all.

My first post op visit I had lost 14 lbs. My 3 month post op visit I had lost a total of 35 lbs. At my 6 month visit I had only lost an additional 3 lbs. I never lost anything after that. Dr. Lucktong told me I wasn't eating right and needed to exercise more. I had a physical demanding job and was doing water aerobics 4 days per week. When I went back to him 3 years post op I was 25 lbs heavier than my pre surgery weight. He told me that I had stretched my pouch out and insurance would not cover a revision. I asked if I needed to come back anymore and he said no. I am now seeing another surgeon who found gastro gastric fistula and said that my stomach was never completely stapled from my pouc h in the original surgery. Dr. Lucktong wouldn't listen to me and would not even consider the fact that maybe there was something wrong.

My first impression of Dr. Lucktong, and all of his staff actually, are that they are very caring people that want to see you succeed. Each person took the time to explain what was going on and what I was going to need to do. Dr. Lucktong was very thorough in the questions he asked and made sure that I was having this surgery done for the right reasons. I've not had my surgery yet so I have no "after" stories to tell.

I first was seen by Dr. Lucktong about 5 years ago when I first started looking into surgery, but insurance did not cover it. He took his time and answered any questions I had and did not make me feel like he was ready to walk out the door when he came in. His office staff is wonderfull, I have made several calls to them this past month and someone always calls me back.

Dr. Lucktong is quiet and very thorough. He specializes in laparoscopic surgery and has top-notch credentials. He did every test and procedure to minimize risks. He has a structured aftercare program. I had surgery ten days ago, and I felt like it went as well as possible. He found and repaired a hiatal hernia during the lap-band procedure. He's an excellent surgeon, and I have complete confidence in him.

I really liked Dr. Lucktong. He answered all my questions and was not pushy. I was given the pros and cons of having surgery. The staff was professional. The 1st appt was long, about 3 hours, but I left with lots of information and knowledge.

I think Dr. Lucktong is very compassionate. I have not spent a lot of time with him yet, but so far I would not change surgeons for anything. The office staff is wonderful!! They are willing to do anything they can for you. They are always around to answer my silly questions. I love everyone involved in my care!!
