I loved Dr Verseman. He is kind and compassionate. As a nurse, I interact with physicians, and his bedside manner is wonderful. He is a skilled surgeon. His office is great and his medical assistant is wonderful.

Dr. Verseman is a wonderful surgeon. He was obviously knowlegeable and he turned out to be a very caring man. Gwen, his nurse is the best! Behind every great doctor is a perfect nurse and Gwen is just that. Whenever I had any questions she was right on the phone helping me. The neatest thing about Dr. Verseman's program is that it is a three-pronged approach. He has a nutritionist and a psyc that works with him to help in the before counseling and the after care. It makes a world of difference. They also offer a free support group after surgery. Dr. Verseman was right up front about the risks of the surgery, yet he is very skilled and instills confidence in the patient. Overall he is a great surgeon. When my husband had to have hurnia surger a few months after my bypass surgery, we requested that Dr. Verseman do it. My husband had an equally successful surgery and his after care has also been wonderful. I would recommend, and have recommended, Dr. Verseman to anyone considering bypass surgery.

My first impression of Dr Verseman was very good. He gave a great talk and was approachable. The primary reason I choose him for surgery was due to the recommendations of the surgical and recovery nursing staff. The nurses love him and speak highly of his skill level, competence, and bedside manor. He has a structured aftercare plan and has stressed the importance of follow up for optimal outcomes. Dring the initial consultation appointment, he took over an hour talking with me and answering all of my questions. I don't want to rate him yet as I haven't surgery but I hope he's a 10. If I had to pick between surgical competence and bedside manor I'd have to say surgical competence, but with Dr Verseman you can have both!!

My first impression of Dr. Verseman was wonderful! I ended knowing the receptionist way back in high school so that was pretty funny and the whole office staff and especially Gwen was outstanding! I only sat in the chair for about 5 minutes and then Gwen the MA called me right back to do the weight part on the fancy BMI/Wt analysis scale and then took me in the room and did the vitals, talked a bit and explained that he was called to surgery and he might be awhile. He was there with 15 minutes which I thought was great, especially since he went to help out a fellow surgeon with a surgery. He was very thourough, kind, gentle, right to the point and has a sense of humor. He so far has a great bedside manner. He spent over an hour with me talking to me in great detail about the procedure risks and benfits and my history. I can't wait to get the surgery date. We are shooting for some time in mid January...Yippee!! Thank you so much Dr. Verseman and Gwen!rnrn

Absolutely terrific, excellent, super in every way from the beginning of the process (April 19, 2006) ...and still - it's 20 months later (Nov. 20,2007) since we first met.rnrnThe only thing that I have had difficulty with is the support group. And I believe that this says more about me than about the Dr.'s team.

My first impression of him was of a very knowledgable, caring surgeon, who truly had the best interest of his patients at heart. He spent a lot of time with both my initial visits. He made sure I understood everyting involved and answered all my questions.rnHis office staff is the best. I've really only dealt with his RMA, Gwen and she is wonderful. She responds to all your questions and concerns She really helped \"bent over backwards\" to get me approved by my insurance.rnIf you don't know what is expected of you, pre and post-op, it's yur own fault. Dr. Verseman has you meet with a lot of other bariatric professionals who make sure that you know what is to be expected.rnSome people say he is a little conservative.rnBut, I don't mind that at all if it means giving you the best care. I really feel that way with him.rnHe has a warm sense of humor which really puts you at ease.

I first met Dr. Verseman a couple of months before I attended his seminar on WLS when my 21 year old son was sent to him for a consult for some RLQ pain. I was very impressed with him at that time, he was very sensitive an through. I knew I felt comfortable having him treat my son, and if I will let you mess with my kids then I must think highly of you! So when I saw he had a WLS seminar a few months later, I knew he was the one for me. I have never felt rushed, he answers all your questions, and even when they had to call him during the night after surgery, he was very accommadating to my requests.rnrnI think that he is the best surgeon I have ever met. I would recommend him very highly and am more than happy to answer any questions anyone has about him. He is great and I know you will not be disappointed!

He was an excellent surgeon. Very personable and friendly. He is willing to go an extra mile to help you. I had my surgery with him when he was in Arlington Heights Illinois.
