Dr Oldham and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. They explains things in terms you can understand and he seems to actually care for the patient which is not all that common with surgeons. If you are in the area his team should be your first choice.

On a side note, my insurance did not cover the cost. He was not the cheapest in town but was well worth the extra money. It was an overall great experience.

Dr Oldham was fantastic. Absolutely conscientious, meticulous to detail. Very caring, good bedside manner, but also high expectations pre-surgery of his patients. He has 2 NP's as well that I've seen intermittently and they are both just as kind and courteous. I feel that this program is very well rounded and attempts to provide you with all the tools needed to succeed, they are not just there to "cut" and be done with you.

He was very caring and informative. He did a great job before and during my surgery.

Dr Oldham was very professional, his staff is awesome and very informative. I must say, Dr Oldham is very personable and very kind, he even sat and talked with my parents with any questions they had with regards to my procedures. I had VSG and the surgery went smoothly and there are very small incisions which have for the most part healed. I am only one month post op, but I'm pleased with my progress... 46 lbs down already.

I met Dr. Oldham today. I am so glad I went ahead and ignored the negative comments about not being able to see him, or that the follow-up care was bad. First of all, to address the negative comments, you have an option of seeing Dr. Oldham for follow-up appointments OR a Nurse Practitioner, EVERY SINGLE TIME. My expectation was that, Dr. Oldham is a surgeon. Of course he will follow his surgery, that is expected. But to expect for him to see you all the time as if you are visiting your primary care physician doesn't make much sense to me. He is a surgeon, he performs SURGERY. Now that that is cleared up. I'd like to give a review :)

I met him today, and he was extremely nice. I felt like he sincerely wants to help me in my situation. I don't believe my situation is unique, but he expressed empathy for my situation and that made me feel good. He was educational, informative and caring. He's good looking too. LOL. He looks just like his picture. The staff was very nice. When I spoke with the insurance lady, she was very helpful to me and explained the best course of action. Given my first experience with this surgeon, my feeling was that the whole staff, just like most other offices affiliated with the Baptist network, such as Baptist Medical Associates, Baptist Hospitals....etc, live up to a standard that can't be touched by any other hospital in the state of Kentucky.

I had surgery less than a month ago, and it was smooth as silk. Doc Oldham is first class. I was out of the hospital in 1 day. I've lost 50 lbs so far and have only 50 more to go. I really appreciate the kindness of the staff and doc Oldham. I'm in my mid 50's and already feel better. I was back to work in 1 week. The four little incisions are healed up. I just can't say enough about this surgeon. I lucked out finding him. Thank you thank you!

Had my surgery on 13 March, 2013 revised from lap Band to a lap VSG, I could not ask for better care from the entire staff. from the insurance coordinators, Nurse practioneers, Baptist Health Louisville and their nursiin staff. I has surgery was in the Hospital two nights, Dr. Oldham even called Saturday afternoon to check on me at home. This review does not do the entire process due justice. I will try to write more later.

GOOGLE HIM, HE'S AWESOME! Very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable!

I am one year post op from my Gastric Sleeve. I was 266lbs now a nice 146lbs and a size 8. Dr. Oldham is truly the BEST. He is so kind and really does care. I had some complication after the surgery and he called me at home the day after Christmas to check on me. I would stop my search for a surgent and call Dr. Oldhams office. Good Luck and best wishes to all the people looking to have WLS...It's a great thing and I recommend it!

Dr. Oldham and his staff are the best ever. I would recommend everyone to them that is thinking about surgery. This is the first procedure that I have had done where everyone is so nice and caring. I did not meet one rude employee. Dr. Oldham and his staff really cares for their patients and will go above and beyond to help you and make you comfortable. I feel like I cannot express my appreciation for them enough.
