Blessing Bariatric Institute Bariatric Center
Dr. Bonanni is a very thorough doctor. He made sure that I had all the appropriate tests completed before my surgery. He said that I was his special case because I had to have an extremely large hiatal hernia repaired and my gall bladder removed and then while he was operating he noticed a mass on my liver which he removed and had it sent to the lab and after all this he also did an open RYN. I had 44 staples from my breast bone down to the top of my navel and a Gi and Gt tubes on either side of my stomach. So Dr. Bonanni had alot of work to do with me. I am very glad to have had such a wonderful Doctor perform this surgery on me. I knew from the first time that I met him that he was the right Doctor for me and I could trust him with my life. Thank you Dr. Bonanni
Sincerely, Nina Wickert
My first impression of Dr. Bonanni was good, not great but good. I did alot of research on this Doctor before I actually met him. His office staff is absolutely great and Paula Beam cannot be beat. She is this Doctors firt Lap RNY patient. She looks wonderful.
This office has a great before and after care program. They really hold you responsible for your care and getting the things together that need be. The staff at this office and the doctor let you know all the risks and benefits to the surgery. You definitely go into this very well informed.
my first impression is that he looked too young to have went through medical school, and have such a fabulous record in patient satisfaction .
a close friend of mine and her mother who are patients of him feel that he is the best, also alot of reserch and asking arround to other patients have proven that what my close friend said was true time over and over again.
theirs a professional , complete care package of info from beggining to end process.
dr. bonnani , i feel is very personable and warm whom makes you feel comfortable being in his hands. i think in going through any majour surgery you best have a doctor who is all arround professinal in competence and as well as bedside mannor.
my first meeting with Dr Bonnani was very good - My husband was not able to go to the appointment so I took my mother. The Physician Assistant Fran was great - -she really took her time with us and explained everything to my mother in lay terms. The program is very detailed, I feel that they do not leave any stone unturned.
The Dr is very busy so be prepared for a long wait -- My appointment was at 930, I didn't get out of the office until almost noon -- good thing I took the day off of work!
Very nice and took time to explain- the whole program at Reading Surgical Associates is very thorough. Very caring staff, I feel very comfortable with my suregeon and the program staff. I will let you know if I feel the same after surgery.
Dr. Bonnani is very busy and sometimes you have to wait a long time, but I am willing to do that for this doctor.
I just wanted to add this comment about Dr. Bonanni. I found him to be a very friendly physician. He is very busy and He does require alot of his patients but it just lets me know that this Dr. really cares about his patients and wants to make sure that this procedure is going to go as smooth as possible. He did my EGD and when he told me about my stomach emptying problem. It made me realize just how thorough he is. I have heard some people say that the surgery centers have been like an assembly line but Dr. Bonanni is anything but. He does have ALOT OF PATIENTS but I sincerely believe he is a genuine caring doctor. I put my faith and my life in the hands of Dr. Bonanni and of course I know that God will use him as the instrument in improving my life.
Post op- My opinion of Dr. Bonanni's is that he is a very good surgeon. I had NO complications whatsoever (so far). He was there everyday at the hospital (and his PA Assistants). In fact the day after surgery I saw Dr. Bonanni, Dr. Beetle, Britt & Dr. Pegari. He is an extremely super nice man. His staff are ALL awesome. They have been fantastic throughout this ordeal. You will not pick a better surgeon than him in my opinion. The only thing that I can say is they are a very busy office and things don't always get done as fast as we would like it to be done but ... they are busy with others.
12/2/03- Gall Bladder-2nd surgery with Dr. Bonanni and I still think he is the greatest. I feel completely safe with him as a surgeon. I think he is very caring about his patients. The office is great also.
I cannot think of anything that I would do to improve the quality of care, the friendliness, or professionalism of Dr. Bonanni or his staff.
Thus far I have been treated with courtesy, respect and as a human being. Paula, who is a nurse in Dr. Bonanni's practice, is also a past patient. This alone makes the trips to the office well worth the trip to deal with someone who has "been there".
The practice has a very detailed manual that lays out every step of the pre-op and post-op program. It tells me what to expect and what to avoid. What more could I want? This manual alone should make Dr, Bonanni your choice of surgeons.
One drawback? Because Dr. Bonanni is so busy, getting him to slow down and explain things takes work on your part. He is more than willing to explain, just seemed a bit rushed once or twice.
