From a 1 to 10, Dr. Wizman is a 20. He is a great surgeon. He gives his patients his cell phone number after surgery and you can call him direct and he picks right up. That makes you feel so much more secure to have that kind of access to your doctor. He is overly cautious with his patients which also gives you a sense of security. He has a five year program after surgery which is very good. His nurse, Diane is also very good. She came to see me in hospital and also called me at home to make sure I was okay. She is also very knowledgeable and is a Diabetic Educator who really knows her stuff. Since I did not have a lot of confidence in the hospital I was in with regard to Diabetes care, I am so glad I had Diane to turn to. I would highly recommend Dr. Paul Wizman to anyone who is contemplating RYN surgery or LAP band surgery.

Paul Wizman is a confident, positive and knowledgable surgeon. He is passionate about his work and cares tremeandously about his patients. Office staff is usually on a first name basis with you and the take time to get to the individuals. Wizman emphasizes aftercare greatly and has support groups every month that I look foward to every month, they never get dull and repetative. Wizman is definately a 9 out of 10 in my book!

A true leader among surgeons re: aftercare and follow up support. Dr. Wizman has an enitre fleet of staff and medical community of volunteers committed to a comprehensive 5 year after care plan for all of his patients. My impression of Dr. Wizman has always been the belief he is a man with a tremendous skill set. I had no idea a surgeon would be so hands on in follow up care. My very first impression of him was actually well before my first MD mentioned his name to me... I was away on an extended business trip in Tally and another of his patients was amongst our group. She lit up and ran outside of the building when she answered her cell phone and declared \"it's my surgeon...\" I was nearly paniced by her announcement and asked her if everything's ok... She responded very enthusiasticly that he does this sort of thing all the time and calls his patients to see how things are going. I remained stunned. It wasn't until I attended one of the meetings that I realized this is the surgeon my colleague was so thrilled about. She offered me his card back in Tally and at the time, I had not yet accessed my benefits package and sought out my first MD for a \"flu shot.\" :) Anyone getting acquainted with Dr. Wizman, his associate surgeon Dr. Kahlil Shillingford, Medical staff and office team should understand this is a very busy yet personable practice. They continually go out of their way to accommodate and implement improvements to aftercare. He is excellent in his speech, presentation and opinions expressed. He also has a very very perky sence of humor. Dr. Wizman and Dr. Shillingford both are very open as to the risks involved in the surgery and any other procedure you may need in aftercare. If on a scale from 1 to 10 I'm ranking a different MD who prior to my referral to Dr. Wizman informed me he'd have to make a 5 inch incision to fix a belly button hernia, then I'm definitely ranking Dr. Wizman with the 10 for fixing my belly button through the laparascope in addition to a flawless lap roux en y on Halloween 2006. He is the very best at what he does. His skill set with the laparascope is not equalled, per comments I've heard from other medical staff and MDs. He's the surgeon who gets the task of fixing the patients other MDs have broken. Please select him as your surgeon to avoid potential revisions.

Dr. Wizman, from my point of view, is one of the best. He is personable and witty. He is, however, straight and to the point, which some perceive as a bad bedside manner. My impression never changed from my first visit. I felt he was very competent and still do.rn rnDr. Wizman seems to believe as much in the aftercare as he does the surgery itself. His program includes 5 years of aftercare...he wants to see his patients at least once every six months.. he stated at a support group meeting...'I can change your body in an hour and a half, but it takes 5 years to change your mind', and I believe that is truly his feelingrnrnI would rate him A+++. His surgical skills and program totally outweigh any negatives.rnrnJust be prepared to wait for your office visits. They always run very late, but it was worth it to me!

From day one Dr. Wizman was the best. I had a horrible expieriance with another Dr, and I called Dr. Wizman's office and told them about it. Dr. Wizman, called me back HIMSELF right away and had me come in for an appointment. He is a very animated and compassionate doctor. His whole staff has been great throughout this whole process. They are very organized and great about returning phone calls. They are also ALWAYS AVAILABLE!!! There is absolutly NOTHING i can think of that I didn't like about this office staff or Dr. Wizman. They have a very good structured aftercare program and they stress it every chance they get. Dr. Wizman is very open and honest about the risks involved and complications that he has dealt with. Both his surgical comptetence and bedside manner is 100% great. Again, he is just so nice, compassionate and his staff is so caring. I recommend him over anyone else.

My first Impression of Dr. Wizman was that he had a little humor in him, and that he knew what he was talking about, and my impression has not changed. I think that every one in the office was pretty nice, but they need a little more patients with the phone calls that come in. They have to reolize that the patients are waiting and this is there life that they are dealing with. Over all I loved my experience with Dr. Wizman and the office staff I thank them alot.

From the first time I met him, I loved him! He answers truthfully and knows his job. His office staff gets things done. After my surgery, I had to look to see if I had been operated on because I felt NO pain in my abdomen area and still don't (only when I cough, of course). Outstanding surgeon!

I liked that Dr. Wizman never talked down to me, even at the first information session. One of the most important things I looked for when choosing a surgeon is their emphasis on aftercare. I could have chosen someone closer to where I live, but his patients said he did not place much emphasis on aftercare. That sealed the deal for me.
Dr. Wizman's staff is second to none. They all know their job and know it well.

I think Dr. Wizman is a genius. He is very personable, and talented. I think he is the best Dr. I have ever gone to. I never had any pain or problems from the hour after my surgery.
He continues his after care for years to come. He told me he'd still be seeing me five years out.
I went to a support group meeting and his seminar before the surgery. He was very frank that it was'nt going to be an easy road ahead.
He only does this type of surgery, and is a proctor for many new doctors wanting to do this type of surgery.
I reseached this surgery for two years and finally felt safe and comfortable with Dr. Wizman.
I would highly reccomend him to all.

I first met Dr. Wizman at the informational seminar. Dr. Wizman explained all risks involved in both types of surgery. He mainly does laproscopic. He was very personable. His fatality rate or lack of also impressed me. He has dedicated his knowledge soley to bariatric surgery and does this full time. He always uses the same OR room, same surgical staff in each hospital. He offers 4 hospitals. He is mainly in South East FL where there are 3. His main hospital is Northwest Regional in Margate (across from his office), Coral Springs Medical Center in Coral Springs, West Boca Medical center in Boca Raton and a hospital on the West Coast of Florida. After my 1 on 1 with him, he seems to also have a fantastic bedside manor. His seminar was run by his office manager Roxanne who went over what was needed from various insurance companies as well as explaining what to expect as far as a time line with requirements. I have yet to go to the education class. It is scheduled in 2 weeks.
