Bariatric Center at Saint Francis Bariatric Center
DR. Pirello is very kind and informative. he is also very strict about weight loss before surgery. The office and the staff are very nice and comfortable. The aftercare problem consists of follow up visits with him as well as seeing a nutrition for a year. I would definitely recommed there office if you are considering weight loss suregry.
I met with Dr. Pirrello on Oct 24. I was originally supposed to see Dr. Bauman but he went out of town. I was still not disappointed.rnDr. Pirrello has 6 yrs expernce and he seemed very well informed. He was very friendly and helpful on the first meeting. I am scheduled to see him for my pre-op on Nov 20.rnrn11-21-06 Ystrdy was my pre-op and Dr. Pirrello was great. Mixed with a solemn bit of humor and lots of knowledge, he made the visit comfortable as well as helpful in giving me all the information needed. The New nurse is great too!!! I had my first appointment on1/30/07. I was a little nervous about it. Dr Pirrello and the staff were very kind and helpful. the appoinment did take longer that I expected but all questions were answered and I was made to feel very confident in my choice of doctors. rnEverything was explained where I could understand.rnThe aftercare program is outlined and you have to agree to go by it in order to have the surgery. rnI would reccommend him and the center to other patients.
I really like this guy. I am a RN and am not accustomed to the professionalism and time this doctor spent with me explaining the procedure, getting to know me and answering my questions. The office staff were great. Couldn't have been a better experience. People keep asking me how my visit went and if the doctor told me what to expect post op, I got to tell you that I couldn't be more prepared for anything.
My first surgery was performed in 1997 by a surgeon other than the one I am working with for the revision. I went from approx 400 lbs to 245 lbs and have gained back up to 337 lbs.rnrnI am currently seeking a revision with Dr. Pirrello and Dr. Bauman's office. I had my consultation 8/10/06 and was very impressed. My brother had wls with Dr. Bauman last year and has lost 165 lbs and is very pleased with both Dr. Bauman and his staff. My consultation was actually with Dr. Perillo who is new to the practice. Dr. Perillo seemed very nice and very easy to talk with. I was very confident with my decision after our consultation.rnrn9/18/06 - I have now completed all the pre-op testing and his office has submitted my information to the insurance (BCBS of CA) for approval. I am hoping to have a surgery date by the end of Oct 06.rnrnUPDATE: Denied-surgeon sent appeal to insurance company 10/25/06.rnrnUPDATE: Rec'd a phone call from Dr. Pirello's office 11/27 saying I was APPROVED! I am scheduled for revision RNY surgery on 12/13 at 3pm. He is hoping he can do it lap but may have to open depending on what he finds. Also, he may have to do a BPD rather than a revision to the RNY depending on what was previously done. Keep me in your prayers!rnrnrn
