Dr. Orris is a wonderful doctor. He is very helpful and caring. He helped me a lot with my weight loss journey. He gave me the knowledge that is needed to use my lap band and to achieve my weight loss goal.

Seems like they are all very nice, friendly and helpful. They really want you to be healthy but never make you feel bad because of your weight or perhaps a bad choice. They just encourage you to make a better choice next time around.

I had the lap band procedure done by Dr. Orris at the Weight Loss Institute of Arizona. The staff has always been helpful and courteous. They worked with me on billing through a job/insurance change to make sure there would be no surprises. It is true that they won't do the surgery if your BMI is over 55 but that is due to safety reasons and their staff was great about helping me with dieting/exercise to lose the weight I needed to pre-surgery. Surgery went smoothly and recovery was easier than I expected it to be. I would strongly recommend Dr. Orris and staff for your weight loss journey!

I has my first visit at WLIA September 2, 2015. I had Gastric Sleeve surgery on November 13, 2015 performed by Dr. Michael Orris.

I am a new patient with WLIAZ. I have had 3 separate appointments with them in preparation for the VSG and have to say they seem to treat me well. I had a little bit of a hard time getting ahold of them for some questions but once i got ahold of them they were very friendly. Dr. Orris is going to be the one to do the procedure for me and after meeting with him he seems to be very nice and informal. Answering any and all my questions the best he could to make me understand everything. At this time i have to say I'm pleased with all my services so far and hoping it continues throughout my whole journey.
