Dr. P was wonderful! In our initial consult she knew that I would be a challenge because of other abominal surgeries I have had. Regardless, she was ready for the challenge and was very sucessful! I woke up to the procedure I wanted in the manner I wanted. Sounds funny to read but because of many issues she had numerous case scenerios in place...think plan B...C..and D. Well planned out and thoroughly discussed prior to sugery.
Her approach was open and honest. The appts I have had with her were never rushed. She actively listened to my thoughts and concerns. And, when my husband joined me she willingly reviewed everything over again and showed him just as much attention as she did to me!
Their requirements for the program are obtainable but only if you are willing to take the responsibilty and own that process. With my research I found other programs didn't require as much pre sugery tasks but theirs is set up to help YOU take the wheel and start the changes and behaviors that in the end makes you more likely to succeed. The program from beginning to end is not focused on just " getting another pt done" but focused on helping each pt be successful!
The ancillary staff used from the first infomational meeting all the way to the hospital stay and beyond are wonderful. Calls are returned. Questions answered. Encouragement offered. The program is set up so that you are supported from the beginning informational meeting to well after your surgery. I felt the entire team is on the same page and are working towards the same goal that you have..Having YOU becoming a WLS sucess story!
Dr. Paciulli is the best surgeon out there. She is kind, caring, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. Her bedside manner is top of the line. She expects high level of care for her patients from the operating room to discharge from the hospital. I had surgery with her 5 weeks ago and it was the best decision of my life. The day I laid on the OR table, I trusted her 100% with my life. She is an amazing surgeon and I would highly recommend her to anyone! :)
Dr. Gens is the kindest, caring doctor I have ever met. He told me everything that I would experience and was 100% truthful. He saw me everday, even though I had complications unrelated to the procedure, he came everyday to see me. I recommend him to anyone considering gastric bypass surgery. My family felt very informed and involved because of his gentle ways.
What an experience!!! Discomfort for a few days but nothing like I expected. The worst 2 days were the first two and I had my pain pump to take care of that!! Stayed in the hospital for two nights though I could have gone home after one.
No regrets all all!!! Dr. Looser is wonderful!
My surgeon is the best for what I needed and wanted. He was very good at explaining what took place and what to expect.
Wow I met my surgeon for the first time today. I was almost in awe. There will pretty much be three men that will make a life impression on me, one is my husband...the second is my son and the third is John Gens. I immediatly felt a trust which doens't usually happen with doctors. His office staff seemed pleasant and the office was comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Looking forward to meeting with him again.
