Arthur Garrido, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center

Dr. Garrido is a caring and compassionate surgeon, who has had extensive experience doing RNY in Brazil. He trained in New York and has operated on hundreds of patients from throughout Brazil and even from other countries.

His surgical team, composed of 5 surgeons are equally competent and caring, and his office staff go to great lengths to accomodate your needs. The only negative aspect is the fact that the office is so busy that it's sometimes difficult to get through when you call.

Dr. Garrido emphasizes that after the surgery, once you start eating solids, you should aviod high caloric intake, but that you should learn to eat things that you like being mindful of how you eat and how much you eat.

Prior to surgery, he addresses all the possible risks of surgery not only at the public lecture he conducts on a regular basis, but also during consultations.

I would highly recommend Dr. Garrido, since he is not only very competent, but also someone who cares greatly about the well being of his patients and their families.
