Alabama Surgical Associates, PC Bariatric Center
DR. FOREMAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL,EXPLAINED ALL ASPECTS OF WLS IN DETAIL, THE RISKS, THE STRUCTURED AFTERCARE, ETC. HIS STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. BUT THERE IS A POINT WHERE YOU HAVE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROVIDING THE REST OF THE DOCUMENTION. IF YOU NEED ADDITIONAL TESTS AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH DOCTORS FAXING REPORTS, YOU NEED TO STAY ON THIS TO MAKE SURE THE RIGHT PAPERWORK IS GETTING WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE. IT CAN GET CONFUSED AND NO ONE IS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF YOU AS WELL AS YOU CAN. DR. FOREMAN RATES HIGHER ON TECHNICAL COMPETENCE, AND FOR ME THAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IN A SURGICAL SITUATION. OVER THE REST OF MY LIFE THE SUCCESS OF THE 2 HOURS IN SURGERY WILL MATTER A GREAT DEAL MORE THAN THE 2 HOURS I HAVE SPENT TALKING WITH THE DOCTOR.

I have saw Dr. Foreman once now and was very impressed. He addressed all my concerns and answered all my questions. He made sure I understood all the risks associated with this Sx. The one thing that really stood out in my mind was that he would not tell me he would do the Sx until he reveiwed records from my recent cardiac Cath and Echo.
His staff did a wonderful job of helping me get that info to his office. The called me with updates weekly until all was received and reviewed.
Dr. Foreman is very easy to talk to and is very patient to answer all of your questions. He never tries to hurry you through your appointments. The office staff is great and his nurse Rita is very helpful.
Dr. Foreman and his staff make sure you know about aftercare and also encourage you to go to support meetings.
From the beginning, everything was very structured and organinzed. Everyone made sure you fully understood everything and the process was very easy to go through.
From the first time I met with Dr Foreman, I was very comfortable. He is very professional, but at the same time he is very personable. I would recomend him to anyone who was looking for a Dr.
I wasn't too impressed with his personality but that isn't why I went to him in the first place. He is a very good surgeon. Would I recommend him to others? I do so on a daily basis.Aftercare is emphasized very strongly and the follow up care is not just good but very good. He told me everything that could go wrong and I appreciated the information.
He seemed very nice and really concerned.
My impression of him didn't change.
His staff was professional but some didn't act like they cared much.
There wasn't anything I didn't like about him.
The hospital was late getting me ready for my surgery and he made sure to tell them I was supposed to be ready by that time. He's very kind and doesn't seem like he's there to make money.
He stresses aftercare. I wasn't allowed to leave the hospital until I signed many forms stating that we had gone over many points, many times.
He has a whole booklet about aftercare, the diet, exercise, vitamins, everything. He gave me numbers of people I could call if I had a question.
Everytime I saw him pre-op, he stressed the risks of the surgery.
I would rate him as close to the top of the scale as I could.
Both were great with him.
Dr. Foreman seemed very knowledgable and confident. My impression of him has not changed from the first meeting. Dr. Foreman answered all my questions with straight forward answers.
The staff is very courteous. Dr. Foreman likes for his patients to be well informed before visiting his office. He covered the aftercare procedures and stressed follow up with the dietician and support meetings.
The risks and complications of surgery were explained very well. I would rate his confidence in his surgical competence a 10. Bedside manner TBD later. I believe surgical competence is better than bedside manner although it wouldn't hurt to lighten up a little and by more personable. The staff was quick to schedule tests needed and return phone calls in a timely manner.
The remarks made in this questionaire are merely based on my personal opinions of my dealings with Dr. Foremans office at the time of my first and second visit. Individuals are responsible for forming their own opinions after their consultation.
Overall, my experience was pleasant and informative.
Dr. Foreman is extremely professional. His candor helped me make an informed decision. I appreciate his willingness to answer any and all questions, no matter how long it took. His emphasis is on the after care and making sure you are ready for the committment necessary for success. His bedside manner and surgical competence are both super.

My first impression of Dr. Foreman was that he was young. I knew that he had been training with Dr. Facundus for over a year and was just starting to solo. He went over the surgery with me and posible complications as well as problems that had occurred in the past, which was usually due to pt. non-compliance. We spent quite a long time together on the first visit. I never felt rushed. The pre-op visit was the same way, we reviewed the proceedure and the importance of following the post-op instructions. The day of surgery,he saw me in the holding area, the OR, and again in my room that afternoon, but I don't remember that visit. I saw him the next morning after the leak test which was negative and he d/c me home. At my 2 week follow-up he again was pleasant, gentle and took his time. Over-all I was very pleased with the care I received from him and the office staff. I would and have recommeded him to others seeking a surgeon for WLS. I would rate him a 10. I've had no complications or problems.
