He graduated from medical school from Baja California’s Autonomous University, Tijuana Campus to later do a residency in Anesthesia in Tijuana’s General Hospital were he was appointed chief of Residents since his second year of this speciality. He is a member of the Mexican Society of Anesthesia, member of the Mexican Federation of Anesthesia, the International Society of Anesthesiologists, member of Tijuana’s Anesthesiology college and a certified specialist in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
As an anecdote, during their years of residency at Tijuana’s General Hospital, Dr Torres and Dr. Pompa were on the same night shifts where Dr. Torres gave his first anesthesia on Dr. Pompa’s first patient with acute appendicitis. Since then, as responsible and committed specialists, they have dedicated their private practice to treating patients with obesity at LIMARP.
