Gastric bypass surgery gets new funding
Patients seeking bariatric surgery in the region will soon have easier access to pre- and post-operation services.
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care announced $12.6 million funding for increased bariatric services on Tuesday.
The money will fund the new centre in Windsor as well as the creation of four centres of excellence in Toronto, Hamilton, Guelph and Ottawa and a new obesity treatment centre for children in Toronto. Click here for full article.
