A weighty issue

Be honest: If you belly up to a Burger King and order a Double Whopper with cheese, do you really want to know that it contains a whopping 990 calories? 

More important, should Bur-ger King, Taco Bell and other fast-food purveyors be forced to list this information prominently?

State lawmakers seem to think so, and this week a legislative committee approved a bill that would require all Connecticut chains with 15 or more locations nationwide to post calorie counts on menus, menu boards and drive-through signs. If approved by the full General Assembly, the law would go into effect next year.  Click here for full article.
