Why diets don't work

Diet is a four letter word. Every year Americans spend billions (yes that?s with a capitol B) on diets. We try everything from cabbage soup to following a diet plan based on blood type in a vain attempt to lose weight. Some diets actually show a downward trend on the scale, but unfortunately it?s not usually permanent weight loss. Now many people are turning to risky surgeries such as gastric bypass and lap band procedures as a weight solution ? these either prevent us from ingesting too much food or force our bodies into malabsorption. But even these extreme measures may not provide permanent weight loss. Check out the latest scoop on popular diets as reviewed by the American Dietetic Association.  Click here for full article.
