Consumption of nuts is not associated with greater weight gain
A study conducted jointly by the University of Navarra and the University of Harvard has confirmed that nut consumption is not associated with greater weight gain.
This was demonstrated by monitoring 51,188 American nurses over eight years (Nurses' Health Study II). Volunteers were between the ages of 20 and 45. Despite the fact that the body weight of women normally increases, explained Maira Bes Rastrollo, principal researcher behind the project, it was shown that those who consumed nuts two or more times a week gained less weight than those who did not.
