Registered dietitians: What they do
National Nutrition Month, March, is an annual nutrition education and information campaign created by the American Dietetic Association. The ADA's mission is to promote optimal nutrition and well-being for all people. The National Nutrition Month campaign focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
This event was first launched in 1973 as "National Nutrition Week." This weeklong event was enthusiastically embraced by ADA members and growing public interest in nutrition. By 1980, National Nutrition Week had grown to National Nutrition Month. Click here for full article.
