I am a gastric bypass patient. This means I have had permanent weight loss surgery on my stomach to not allow me to eat more then 2 to 4 ounces at a given meal time. As part of this surgery, all gastric bypass patients are given a professional card given to us by our weight-loss doctor on the date of our surgery, saying"Request to Food Service Providers: The bearer of this card has undergone surgery that has drastically reduced the size of his or her stomach. He or she is under doctor's orders to eat very small portions of food -- no more then eight ounces at a time. If you can allow the purchase of a child's meal or reduced portion, it would be greatly appreciated." Click here for full article.
