It's day four after Mom's surgery. The majority of side effects have passed, and things are going well in terms of feeling better. But Mom, Sister and I have all had the same observation: Taking care of a loved one after surgery often means a major loss of privacy for the person being cared for, more than we ever expected.
In the immortal words of my sister, "I haven't seen those parts since I passed through them when she was birthing me, I had hoped to never see them again.
