Question:
Has anyone had a fistula repair itself?

My mom found out the hard way that she has a bowel fistula that had abscessed and burst. Now, she's in the hospital with IV nutrition and nothing by mouth for several weeks. They're waiting to see if it heals on its own. I had a fistual of the bladder and it took three repairs to heal. Has anyone else had a tear or cut from surgery that healed itself? Please email me!!! I think she's being told things to cover the surgeon's butt for a mistake.    — Amy K. (posted on June 10, 2001)

Hi...oh wow...fistuals are nasty! From what I have gathered about them, they increased the fastest when they are removed. So if you consider having an operation to have one removed, two or three will take its place. They also can "branch" out to other organs and simply DRAIN the engery out of a person! Good luck with your mother, but do continue to research that issue..it'sad, but many doctors have no clue and just "try out" things to hope and pray matters will take care of themselves...but I am a high believer of a healing diet and nutrition. God Bless!

Amy, I tried to email you with some info, but it came back to me as an error. Could you email me with a different address because I would like to tell you my story when my mom had the same thing. You can email me at [email protected]
