Question:
Has anyone felt Pinching in the heart area after surgery?
I am two weeks post op and I feel unusual things in my heart area. It feels like a constant pinch. My job is low key but I have some serious deadlines I am trying to meet. I felt these pains 2 weeks before surgery but never said anything and the doctor told me my blood pressure was in flux during the surgery. I have never been diagnoised with High Blood Pressure but then again I feel comfortable at the doctors office. I think I was on the verge of having heart problems and got the surgery just in time. Or could it be something else. I feel the pinching at work and sometimes at home. I never felt these pains before this last 30 days. What do you think? — Ron T. (posted on July 2, 2003)

Well I am post-op 3 yrs and I still to this day do not have the
stamina I used to have plus I don't know if it is my heart or
lungs but I have this feeling as if I ran around a racetrack every
day so I do experience some weird things...remember there is always
a trade-off. I can recommend 2 things that will really help you
get MSM it is a natural sulfur mineral and will cause circulation also
don't laugh but get vegatable based Pre-Natal vitamins 2 a day and
2 morn/night of MSM you may see wonderful results. Also I would have them
check where your stitches are on or near your where they attached
your intestines because I have a friend who had a stitch sticking her and
that is like a pinch....good luck from suz

Ron~ I too, have a pinch in the heart. it comes sudden and leaves quickly.
I did have it before surgery as well, but didn't want anything to prevent
me having it. My EKG was normal so I was cleared. My fiance was like,
shouldn't you say something. I told him, no way. I still get it
occasionally. It is sometimes like a dull ache. I have no idea. Kinda
weird.

Things like this can be dangerous. Anyone with unexplained such problems /
pain should contact their doctor immediately! None of us want to see more
members on the memorial page!

I agree with previous that you need to have a heart test of some
kind..depends on how that EKG turns out. I have 'heart cramps' when my
Blood pressure gets too high...feels like a heartache, i think if i ever
have one i wont know the difference! Get it checked out to be sure though.
