Question:
How long till swelling is gone?

I am 8 days post op abdomplasty, with a full anchor. The doctor removed 7 lbs of skin. I am still very swollen and my drain is still draining. Other than that I am doing great. Anyone have any idea how long it takes for swelling to go down? Thanks    — Teressa D. (posted on September 25, 2003)

Swelling can last up to 3-6 months. The first month it goes down quite a bit. I still get swollen every now and then and I'm 6 months out and I have a full anchor incision too.

My swelling lasted for about 4 to 6 weeks.

I am 2 1/2 months postop. I am still swollen. About an inch of my incision (on the top part) is still red and sore.
