Question:
Will adhesions from spleen removal etc. be a problem
I was wanting some feed back good or bad on these particular doctors at Right Weight Clinic in Tenn. Dr. Herschel Graves, MD, and Dr. John Husted, MD. I also have a question on the open RNY, which I feel may be the best type of surgery for me. Is there anyone who had had this type of procedure with this amount abdominal surgeries and was it a problem. I had spleen removal (1974) hysterectomy (1985) and gallbladder surgery (1989) Will adhesions be a problem with open RNY. — Victoria B. (posted on August 17, 1999)

Hi! I am attending a seminar given by Dr. Husted and Debbie Thompson, RN
on Aug. 23rd! They are coming to Knoxville, Tn.! I am so excited that I
can't hardly wait! I have heard that Dr. Husted is a very nice person and
I have talked to Debbie on the phone! She is very nice too! I haven't heard
anything bad about Right Weight! I will be finding out alot about it the
23rd. If you would like me to email you and let you know about them, I
would be glad to keep you informed. My family doctor is giving me a
referral to Right Weight! I asked a question myself about them to! I am
talking to a lady that is going to the same place also! Everything I have
heard has been good! I hope that after I go to the seminar I will be able
to make an appointment for a consultation. I am about 2 and half to 3 hours
away from the clinic but I think it will be worth the trip! I will be glad
to help you out and keep you posted on everything! Email me anytime!

They might be. Only way to tell is to try to do the operation. Probably
they will
not be any more than a minor annoyance for the surgeon.
