Question:
Does anyone get pains in their stomachs that resemble stomach aches?
I am 9 weeks post op and have been getting pains in my stomach like I was 5 years old. I have been having problems getting in my water because of this. I am eating all my protein and have started walking this week. However, the stomach aches seem to be keeping me down. What's up with this? — Tammy D. (posted on April 2, 2002)

Yes, I get some bad stomach aches. I don't know why. They come and go at
will. But I suspect yours are because you are newly post op??? If in doubt,
call your surgeon to be safe.

Hi. I was having the same problem to the point that I was getting depressed
from feeling bad most of the time. I spoke to my surgeon and he put me on
REGLAN. Helped me 100%.

Kim, what is REGLAN?

I am having the same thing! I am 4 weeks post-op LAP RNY and I went back to
work last week. By Friday the Dr. had scheduled me for an Upper GI and
Small Bowel xrays. They found nothing abnormal. The way I descibe the
feeling is a "good old rotten apple stomach ache". My job
requires that I am at a computer all day. Since the majority of my weight
is in the middle the Dr. thinks this is causing cramping. He has
recommended that I work 1/2 days for the next two weeks. Let me know what
your Dr. says. I would be interested.
