Question:
Has anyone else had very mis-shapened breasts after reduction and lift with smaller
I had a breast lift with smaller implants to replace the ones from 20 years ago. One of the old implants had ruptured and the dr had to do a lot of work to fix that breast. It has been 2 days, and when I took off the dressing, They look very mis-shapened. I like that they are smaller and lifted, but they look like frankenstein boobs. Has anyone had a similar experience and had the outcome be OK after awhile? — betseylovelace (posted on November 19, 2004)

Hi Betsey....it's going to be alright! lol...I had a reduction 18 months
ago, and you aren't going to see "final" results for awhile...If
you are only 2 days out, you're going to have lots of swelling, bruising,
etc. They won't look like they do now for long. Mine were mis-shaped, one
NAC (nipple/aerola completx) was higher than the other for about 6-10 weeks
and they were discolored. Well, they evened out considerably, my left is
just a smidge bigger than the right (I'm probably the only one who can see
the difference), nipples are symetrical, and the color is perfect. There's
a great website if you have questions or want to talk about your
progress...its www.breasthealthonline.org Lots of wonderful women with a
wealth of knowledge on the subject, and lots of support. There will be
others that are at the same stage you are, and you can "compare"
your healing processes. Good luck, and don't fret...they will get
better..Denise 316/158 46II/36G/36C

Betsy, I had a reduction/lift with a nipple graft on Oct. 13th. My doctor
warned me a head of time not to be upset by their misshapen appearance,
which I was glad of:) Now a little over a month later they're starting to
look much better, still have a way to go I've noticed a "hollow"
spot on the outer lower side of each one, but she assured me it would even
out and be fine.
