Question:
anyone experience hot flashes after eating

Hi, I had my enoscopy today, and i must say it wasn't bad at all! If any one needs to get one it was ok from a BIG chicken. I am experiencing hot flashes after i eat...has anyone felt this way. And a bit nasueas.... any suggestions???? Thanks, Teresa    — Teresa T. (posted on September 15, 2003)

My understanding is that might be a little bit of "dumping" - if you are eating too much sugar or fat in the food your body is pulling from everywhere to attack the extra fat or sugar that has just hit your small intestine. Avoid foods with high fat and sugar

I get hot flashes when I dump on something with a high fat content.

Interesting....I guess I never thought that breaking out in a sweat at the end of a meal could be dumping. Just had it happen last night when eating a broasted chicken breast (no skin, just the meat). I do dump easily, and have never actually tried anything with sugar (well, except a little ketchup or bbq). I have often thought it was strange how sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Huh, I'm going to have to think about/watch when it happens again.
