Question:
I have to put in 30 day notice, what if surgery date gets moved

I'm not quite to that point yet but I've read alot of postings saying their date got changed. When I have a date I have to put a 30 day notice in for medical leave. What if that changes to a sooner date? You think they will still honor my notice? I know I should ask the HR Dept. but their kind of scatterbrained when you ask them anything.    — angela D. Hi! As long as you are going to be covered under FMLA they would like the 30 day notice but that is not a set in stone time frame. I know when I had my breast reduction I was approved and scheduled for surgery just 22 days before the big day. I was not givin a hard time at all. good luck!

they request 30 days notice at any job, but it's understandable if things change. i only had about 2 weeks to give notice to my job.
