Question:
Jerky- too much pepper
I have tried so many jerkies all of which are to peppery and leave my mouth so hot. I even made my own without pepper but it was nasty tasting (I believe the soy sauce). I would love to find a Jerky (even if it is not beef) that has no pepper. I would also like to get ahold of other jerky receipes to try. Lisa Marie — Lisa Marie D. (posted on March 14, 2002)

Wal-Mart sells "JACK LINK'S" Beef Jerky. I like the Teryaki but
lately I've gotten tired of that and eat Jack Link's Original Beef Jerky. I
can't taste any pepper in that. It's cheap and great tasting. A big 3.5
once bag is around $3.37?
I forgot the exact price. It's high in protein and very tasty. I find it
easy to store in the car for those emergencies when you are no where near
home or don't have the money to eat out...

There is a brand here in the Midwest that tastes really good, and is not
hot. It is called Pemmican, and has a picture of an indian chief on the
wrapper. It is very Moist, and comes in 3 different flavors. peppered which
is not hot to me, but mayube I tolerate pepper better than you. Mesquite
BBQ- this has a very good BBQ flavor. Teryaki is by far my favorite. it is
a little sweet, but very good. 2 oz is 25 grams of protein.
