I'm 10 wks post-op, and I know when I eat to fast, to much, or drink to
soon after I eat, I get that feeling in my breatbone. However, mine is not
tender to touch on the outside, just very uncomfortable. Just make sure you
are chewing your food real well, eating very slow, and not eating to
much,{I can only have 4 Tblsp} and see if it makes a difference. Also, try
not to drink for a half hour before or after a meal, and never during. This
may or may not be the problem. Just my experience. Good luck

I woyld be concerned about the tenderness and the pain while eating. please
call the doctor and go see him. it could just be gas. Are you drinking
through a straw? This will cause gas. just get it checked out.

I had some of the same problems at 2 weeks post-op. Went to two doctors and
had numerous test done. My pain was horrible, I was not able to eat or
drink without hurting. After doing everything the doctors said, I tried
something recommend off this site. I took a laxative. Spent the next day in
the bathroom, the next day in bed, I was really sore in my abdomen. Felt
like a new person after that. I never stopped having BMs, so I never
dreamed all my pain and problems could be from constipation. Now I make
sure I go everyday or I take a stool softner and remember drink your water!

I had the same feelings at 2-3 weeks post-op and after seeing my doctor he
put me on prilosec for a marginal ulcer. I guess that they are fairly
common at the start and the medicine worked. Good luck with your weight
loss.
