Question:
Has anyone experienced muscle twitches mainly in the legs?

I had the gastric bypass which went very well with almost no pain. after 3 days post op my legs especially my left leg felt very heavy and i became extremely dizzy. my legs and body act as though i am freezing cold and shiver resulting in tightening of my muscles. The symptoms were similar to a stroke. it was checked out neg for stroke but i still have these symptoms, has anyone had anything like this?    — Tina C. (posted on July 25, 2005)

Drink more water, water , water. Have your Potassium Checked as well as your Magnesium. Very Important stuff there!!!!!

Hi Tina, I haven't had this problem, however I am currently learning much about our lovely vessles we call our bodies. I agree with the previous poster, drink lots of water. Also, are you walking?? When we have this surgery we get pumped full of gas, so by walking as much as possible, as often as possible will help move those gasses out of our bodies. Another thing is our bodies are full of energy, so it maybe blocked energy neededing to escape. Drink lots of water, walk often and breathe!!! Lots of good deep breaths. I assume since you already got a neg for a stroke test you are under doctor's care? If not, please seek help. Best of luck to you.. I hope you feel better real soon. Aimee
