Question:
Cold and Surgery?
Right now, I am sick. Got a cold of some kind...low fever, running nose, cough. The last time I got sick it started out like this and ended up with me in the emergency room and three weeks of recovery time. I seem to get sick like this every couple of years...and its been almost two years since the last time. What will happen if I get sick and am sick for surgery? Only 27 days to go! — Renee B. I got a cold right before my surgery and my doctor wanted all symptoms gone
for 4-5 days or he would have rescheduled.

I did not want to get sick before my surgery so did not stay out at night
in cool damp weather. I did not go to my grandchildren,s ballgames in the
rain. I tried to stay a way from people who were sick. I also wiped down
the telephone receivers, light switches, and door handles down with alcohol
a lot. I also washed my hands a lot and tried not to touch my eyes and
nose. I thought better be safe than sorry it couldn't hurt.LOL . I did
this about two weeks before my surgery.

my friend had a cold before she had surgery...last week. the doc told her
as long as she wasn't on antibiotics or running a fever.
