Cold and Surgery?

Right now, I am sick. Got a cold of some kind...low fever, running nose, cough. The last time I got sick it started out like this and ended up with me in the emergency room and three weeks of recovery time. I seem to get sick like this every couple of years...and its been almost two years since the last time. What will happen if I get sick and am sick for surgery? Only 27 days to go!
