Question:
Intracorp is requesting a year of documentation from Dr and Nutrionist evaluation

I may be able to come up with 6 months when I was on Phen Phen and the rest of the time I did home items Diet Center and Nutasytem without Drs documentation. What do I need to expect? I am worried now.Is it over for me? Wanting this surgery.    — Barbara T. (posted on March 12, 2003)

I may not be much help but I am dealing with Intracorp also and they are slow...also...I get a different answer everytime I call...They tried to tell me that they didn't recieve the doc's fax after they had already told me he had. Ask your surgeon's office, the RN what to do cuz mine said don't sweat it. They would help. Intracorp a lot of times asks for more of something they said.

IntraCorp does the precertification review for Highmark BC/BS (my insurer) also. Despite support letters from two physicians, at least medically supervised diets, documentation for psych. eval and nutri.eval, BMI 41.2, etc., I was denied because of no medically supervised diet within the past 12 months! I'm now pursuing legal assistance.
