Question:
Does anyone take Melatonin for sleep or Daily complete (liquid)?
Last night I took a melatonin to get to sleep. I used to take it previously if I couldn't sleep. And lately b/c of all the pain I'm in from headaches and ulcer, I cannot sleep at night. I will lie there for hours, so I was wondering if it's ok to take Melatonin for it? <p> Also, My mom wants to get me "Daily COmplete" Has anyone heard of this before? It is a liquid vitamin that contains a billion vitamins and is supposed to be better absorbed. I don't know much about it, just wondering if anyone else takes this. It's pretty new and is seen on commercials, prbably infomericals, too. Thanks! — Lezlie Y. (posted on January 29, 2003)

Hi Lezlie, I was having alot trouble sleeping. My husband is a sleep
technician and told me to take some melatonin. I got the 3 mg. tablets he
said to take it 3 hrs. before you go to bed ( thats how the doctor orders
it in the sleep lab). My mom had a bottle (different manufacturer) and it
said 20 min. I took one tablet and I was asleep with in an hour. Try it, I
hope it works. Take Care, Natalie

Hi Lezlie: Im sorry I went back and read your question again. I have heard
of daily complete but dont think its a sleeping agent. Try taking a pepcid
ac before you goto bed it helps with the nighttime heartburn. Sorry about
the mix-up. Natalie

I was taking Valerian root for sleep. I works great but has a downfall.
It smells terrible, and it comes in capsules which we can't have so I would
have to empty them and mix them with a little water. It tastes about as
good as it smells. So I started taking melatonin when I needed it and I
have not had any problems with it. I have found that both work great
though.
Good luck!
