Question:
I am 6 weeks post open from open gastric bypass,

I have 2oz. of yogurt w/grapenuts mixed in for lunch a protein shake, a snack maybe an orange or apple, then for supper 1oz. of turkey or chicken,1 piece of cheese and few crackers. I get in all my water so thats not a problem. But is this too much? 12/10/02 down 48lbs    — Pam J. (posted on January 22, 2003)

Pam, Sounds good just as long as you opt for the protein first in everything that you eat. You're making wise choices, You're doing great ! Congrats on your weight loss ! P.s. In time you'll find that with each week you'll be able to eat more, I know it's a little scarey just try to make the best choices as possible, I know you'll find the right path......Best of luck Post op 8 months down 110 pounds

Your doing very well and eating right too. Just continue to have your protein shake or two to supplement, drink lots of water (though not with meals!), exercise and you'll be find. You'll start to eat more as the weeks go by..
