I had a different surgery than you had but this might help. I've found
that when I lose my focus I go back to liquids and a very restricted
post-op diet for several days. I think it helps me get out of finding
entertainment in food and stops any craving for sweets. Really psych
yourself up and choose a "surgery" day. Prepare by buying
"post-op" foods, scheduling time for physical activity, start a
food diary, ask for help from your support people, etc. You have found the
strength and focus to come this far and you WILL be succesful.

Janice, I am still pre-op (but not for long), but I would suggest calling
your surgeon or surgeon's nurse. Surely they would know what is best for
you depending on your surgery type. Good luck!

Janice,
Go back to the two week liquid phase and that should restart your system.
Good luck & God Bless :o)

Hi Janice!
I have the same question. I went on a 4 day gallbladder/liver cleanse not
to lose weight but to get healthier. I discovered after the cleanse (only
water and apple juice) I couldn't take most regular foods anymore and my
pouch has shrunk some. I'm eating babyfood right now to give my pouch a
break.
I'm guessing you could go back on the liquid protein for a week or two and
that should help a lot. Just go very slow getting back to eating foods or
you'll blow chow like I did when I tried to eat some fish.
I'm laughing at myself now that I look back and wonder why I was in such a
rush to eat solid foods but at the time it was very icky. <----fancy $10
medical term.
Best wishes to you. :)
