Question:
Cigna ins question!!! HELP?????

I sent in my first appeal letter. Cigna recieved it on the 18th of July. I call them everyday to find out my status. They tell me everyday that they have 30 days to respond. Does anyone have a number or any ideas of who I could talk to to get this thing moving along?? I live in Az. Thanks    — Bev L. (posted on August 8, 2001)

I too had a nightmare getting Cigna to even acknowledge they received my letter of medical necessity from my PCP. I had to get firm with them and refuse to hang up until I spoke with a supervisor. After speaking with a supervisor, the ball seemed to start rolling. I live in Illinois, so I am not sure if it would be the same person, but if you would like her name and number, please e-mail me directly. Good Luck!!

I have Cigna Healthcare of Ohio and they took the full 30 days to review my appeal. I found out that I was approved the day after my surgery. From what I have experienced you will have to wait it out.

CIGNA means nightmara. Sorry to poist anonymously, but with my luck the (@#^%) person behind my nightmare is scanning this web site and will stop my surgery. I will tell you that after a 2 month NIGHTMARE is got resolve and I am having surgery soon. I'll post details AFTER I get home.
