Question:
Has anyone had so much sinus drainage that medication isn't helping?

I have alot of sinus drainage and my PCP put me on Clariton D and that's not helping. I even take Advil Cold and Sinus in between. It causes me to gag and have the dry heaves everyday. Sometimes I can get some of it out but as soon as I do it seems like there is a gallon more. Also sometimes when I spit this stuff out there is blood in it. Not alot but some. Should I be worried about this or is this coming from my throat and sinus cause they are irritated. I don't throw up any food it's always the heaves and nothing else. hi linda, i am 5 weeks post-op and on the 3rd week i developed a cold and have been having trouble eating ever since i throw up all day and dry heave and when i can get something up it is mucus. i know the mucus is making my stomach full making drinking and eating hard, but my dr does not seem to comcerned he said to hang in there and it will work out he promises yea right easy for him to say. i have tried to take med but i puk them too sorry i cant help but you are not alone

My PCP put me on entac. It is liquid form and works great.

I have not had surgery yet, but have bad allergies. I have been on Zyrtec for over a year and it help a great deal. I also use Nasonex once a day, both Rx by my PCP.
